Yes! Just got the XTS an X12S, and found a sweet deal on Omni-T (180usd) fromAli, it's on it's way, can't wait to check it out :) Rather be paying for premium design, quality and features, than just for big brand, which lacks all the above. (yes my soul belongs to Rlaarlo from this day on :))

@@hotwheelz9839 it is very nice, R-quality! It's winter here so I can't proper traction, but it has a bit weight and sturdiness on it. I think it'll be very stable on high traction surface. Crazy fast even on stock pinion, and on snow quite hard to handle on full power without gyro😁 planning to install one though

I agree…the Arrma is faster but that’s bout it..not nearly as versatile

the mini max is also only 2s out of the box, the mojave isnt meant to drive through grass, its a stadium truck... meant to drive on dirt. for 260 the mini maxx should be nicer and atleast be 3s compatible out of the box.

@@claytonparsons4963 Honestly the mini maxx don’t need to be 3S IMO it’s just right. But everyone’s situation is different…I bought it mainly for indoor winter fun,same as the grom,but as you can see it shines as an indoor mini monster truck,but still did well on the grass,gravel and dirt. Where as by your own admission the Grom is not as versatile and is not that much cheaper(40 bucks)Yeah it can run 3s but from what I’ve seen it’s hardly controllable and all my running is on grass gravel and dirt..no smooth pavement so speed ain’t necessary for me. I like to jump and flip and ride on rough terrain so it’s different strokes for different folks. Thank God I don’t let TH-cam influence what rig I will or will not purchase.

@familyrc777 Basically..the only thing I done was put the VXL(spider gear) diffs like from a rustler 4x4…everything else is stock BL2S system

@@Freakeye_RC Nice! I’m impressed it can backflip like that on the stock 2s system. If the rustler ones fit than that means the XO-1 diff kits would fit. Which have the reinforcement bar inside the diff which allows it to handle 6s power. Great vid. Thank you 🙏

@@familyrc777 I’ve seen someone else on here say that too about xo diffs..I did it the first day I got it just experimenting but once I’ve driven it,it does backflips double backflips,wheelies all on the stock system so I’m just leaving it as it is as I got it for indoor fun anyway…I was gonna do a 3s system at first but I’m actually good with it

Oh no, it is for sure stronger. I’ve seen it get launched into curbs and poles with at most a broken arm. The Mini Maxx however, someone got into a crash at half the box stock speed and whole front end ripped off. It’s a big problem with the Mini Maxx.

@ well I haven’t broken either one of them so I can’t say…check out my round 2 video and go to 11:56 and see how I smacked that boulder head on and still drove away you can even hear the smack so yeah..everybody driving conditions are different but yeah guess I got lucky

Yes but you need to change the ring gear to the TRA 6779 one..you’ll see once you do it.

Oh and you can get front or back for both you won’t be using the main diff case anyway

Im assuming you say to change the ring gears to 6779 to get the gear ratio back to stock? Im planning to do this as well but keep the larger stronger 13/37 gears and just change the pinion on the motor from 20t to 15t that will get the overall ratio back to stock. The reason this is better is if you notice all 1/10 Traxxas 4x4 brushed models (stampede, slash, etc.) come with the 12/47 differential gears but you’ll notice they have very tiny teeth. Those same models but with the brushless VXL option from the factory always come with the 13/37 gears because they are stronger. I upgraded a standard 4x4 to brushless and stripped the 12/47 gears out. Upgraded to the 13/37 gears and have had zero issues. Just change the motor pinion gear to keep the overall rpms the same.

@ I just know the 6779 will mesh right I didn’t count teeth or none of that…the stock ring gear will not go on the VXL diff housing..the screws don’t line up but 6779 drop right in

@ yeah man! It’s still a great upgrade! Just noticed how many views this was getting and thought I’d share an alternative that might be even stronger. Basically you have to use the diff, ring, and pinion from the 6788 and 6789 (front/rear) but I just remembered, to do it the way I’m saying you also have to add the 10758 slipper clutch (or center diff) and 10757 driveshaft as well so your way is like $30 cheaper but adding the slipper clutch is cheap insurance!
