Welcome to the start of my adventures in Peru in 2024! I first came to Cusco in 2013 for my medical elective as part of medical school and it has a place in my heart still. I returned in 2018 and knew I wanted to come back and spend more time here. In this video I am settling into life in Cusco, and at the Mundo Antiguo Spanish School there. I plan to record a video on my thoughts on the school...

Wow you get so much in your bags. I took a 40l to Montreal for 4 days and realise I didn’t shove enough in and could have taken more. I use No Pong deodorant, it’s a cream in a tin, made by an Aussie company but I can get it here in Canada so I’m guessing you’d be able to get it in the UK, it works great and the tin is small but lasts over a month. I travelled with Ryanair in June and I wore a sleeveless vest with pockets to put all the things I would put in a everyday bag. I got it off Amazon, there are a few TH-cams on how to do it. The airlines cannot stop you as it is clothing.
Ohhhh nice one this is a good idea 💡
@@susanburke8722 I tried this while packing but I am finding the vest I have to be too big and bulky to add to my 8kg backpack after the flight. Soooo, back to the drawing board for me for those few extra kg that don’t fit in my backpack.
@@adventureswithmegan I just bit the bullet and booked priority boarding both ways. That gave me a small case for the overhead cabin. I did take a travel vest, but as you say, i took it off at my destination and put it in the case and took out a sling bag to put my personal things in. I hope you find a solution and enjoy the trip.
@@susanburke8722 yes that makes sense. Top tip if you’re flying with Ryanair it’s usually cheaper to add a carry on without the priority (it’s the step after priority and is usually about £15 to add just the case and not priority boarding or seat selection)
How much did that weigh? Most companies now have weight limits for carry ons. I'm going to Japan next year and will have to fit everything into a 32 L. 😅
@@catarixpto sorry I didn’t weigh it as Ryanair don’t weigh your bag but definitely under 10kg as I could very easily lift it. Have a great time in Japan 🇯🇵
I've found that with the exception of a few Asian budget airlines, most airlines won't actuallly weigh your carryons, and if you're wearing a backpack, 32L looks small enough on most people's frames to fly under the radar.
@@ariesmryJetstar in Australia are very keen on weighing too 🫠

YES! Or they say minimalist and then their bag is 15kg 😭 here in Australia we have a 7kg weight limit for our carry on bags
@@user-de1qj6nl3w the struggle is genuinely so real with the 7kg limit in Aus 🫠
@@user-de1qj6nl3w I don’t know how I could travel with just 7kg. That pretty much forces you to have a checked bag. I just barely got my things to 8kg by using a vest with pockets for some things. I am going to six European countries with just 8kg in my pack and will put the vest in my pack after the flight.
@@karenwendt5514 I’m going to the UK next year and I’ve managed to choose airlines with a 10kg limit! Do yku think it is ok for winter summer and meds as asthmatic and want to take as small bag as possible?
@@lbunnygordon1133 it would depend how many clothes you pack. It is a small size for winter clothing but it’s the size of personal item so if you need more space you’d have to use a bigger bag.
