The white star line were assholes...my ancestors sent there child of to work on that ship..they could not afford the uniform. So white star line provided it ..but the kid or or Porter was deducted a fee out of each wage ... He never made it that far and drowned...after The ships sinking. My ancestors were sent a bill for the outstanding amount owed on the uniform...even though he died ... Titanic is not a movie ...its not for your entertainment,, this is a tradegdy that destroyed many families.but save many more lives too...by changing the notion of thinking that any thing big enough to sink a ship this size, could be well spotted far enough to turn and avoid...from then on the maritime board legislated more life boats. And more safety features..as we see now ...these changes only resulted in little life lost on costa Concordia....but for those who were lost . For those in peril on the sea,,nearer you are to thee !!!!!!!!
