Good Thing - the 30deg response the best I have ever seen in a woofer! But 400 Euro a piece!
The spider has large HOLES at even intervalls to avoid standing waves in the suspension? That weakens the strength at these points and can lead to early failure under high excursion conditions!

The midranges have improved so much that they go down ok and go up 2 khz more, no crossover, it's fantastic, that is, top with low consumption..

Yes, you will need a crossover. 2-4kHz although you could go higher. 2.5kHz would be a nice starting point.

Do you have a max SPL rating for this driver?
Max SPL at 1m is about 111dB. If used high passed as mid/tweeter potentially a lot more.

I am waiting for my first Satori MW19P-8. How big volume for one of them in this speaker? In video it say port tuning 32hz. But in text for video it says 39hz. What should i use? 35?
We have checked with the engineers and this speaker is tuned to 32Hz and two woofers share a combined volume of 48.4 litres.
Hi, I have some confusion. On the website of one of your distributors it says: ¨Recommended min cutoff frequency 4400 Hz¨. But the AT60NC-4 datasheet says: * IEC 268-5, high-pass Butterworth, 2600 Hz, 12 dB/oct. I am thinking of using the AT60NC-4 with a cut-off frequency of 3200 Hz with a crossover of 12 dB/oct.
You would have to ask the author of that recommendation to find out why they recommend 4400 Hz. Speculating it may be 2xFs which is common thumb rule when looking at a reasonably low crossover for a dome tweeter. This is not a dome tweeter. The best way to find out is by testing and measuring in your application along with the intended mid/woofer. Look for excessive distortion around the crossover. If it's coming from the tweeter then selecting a higher crossover point or steeper may be warranted. Your suggestion of 3200 12 dB/oct sounds reasonable but it depends on the application.

+ -3,5mm travel 😕 Not sure how should I feel about this. A half decent 10" driver should have at least + -5 or 5,5mm travel, even 8" drivers tend to have that.

Lovely! Would these be useable for open-baffle midrange and treble? I am thinking of a hybrid design (like Qualio’s) with an open baffle mid/treble and a ported cabinet for bass.

I wonder if those high end woofers are better than those in magico or perlisten
Magico doesn't build their drivers, but they have them built per their spec. The Magico M series woofers are based on the Morel UW 1058 or 1258 woofer. The cones are proprietary for Magico, the voice coils are custom wound for Magico, and the spiders are custom for Magico. I don't know about the mids. The tweeters might be Morel TSCT1104 with custom domes. If you search hard enough, you can find where a person took the tweeter apart and found "MBD-5" on the back chamber. Overall, high quality components.

9 tahun lalu bangun speaker SBAc sistem 2way dengan driver sb17nrx & sb26stac, waktu itu belum ada distributor lokal, dari invoice pengiriman barang dari indo (surabaya), singapore, japan, canada baru kembali masuk ke indo. enclosure box & crossover ngikutin datasheet kit eka, dipompa dengan amplifier LM3886 spek komponen mulai dari dioda penyearah, chipamp sampai kapasitor kopling&elco didatangkan via importir🙈 alhasil jadi orang paling malas didunia sehari2 nikmati lagu keroncong. setahun setelahnya speaker&lifier saya angkut ke rumah orang tua karena pindah tugas. berharap bangun lagi pakai driver satori setelah rumah tinggal selesai dibangun
Hi, I would like to know if I can use the SB16PFCR25-4-COAX in a *sealed* enclosure. Will I have air escaping around the tweeter and woofer's voice coil?
All SB Acoustics coaxial drivers can be used in sealed or vented enclosures. The tweeter/woofer and motor assembly is designed to be used this way.

Okay let me know. I have prototype loudspeakers built and special circuit to enhance and clarify the bass. I'm using higher-end conventional woofers now but I think your woofers if available in 12in, Texteme and neodymium could improve the audiophile quality sound even further.

We have been using an ARA-Be set ourselves, truly a fantastic set! Excellent in high and low due to the components used. The TW29BN Tweeter in particular makes a big impression! From now on also available at SoundImports.

Would love that sb make a replacement tweeter for kef t33 4 ohm 93db/ w...no ferrofluid , to replace all kef tweeters in kef c series, kef 104/2 , 102, 103, reference and 107, there are so many sold and kef does not deliver spareparts...these are exvellent speakers , also the kef P60 , bbc monitor is equiped with this t33 tweeter. And the sb29sdac-c000-4 seems well fitted for specs but need another flange square to adapt in the kef baffle

I have a question about your measured frequency curves : ALL your drivers / woofers exhibit a huge bump at +/- 40hz. Even the open baffle ones. How’s that even possible ? Do you measure them in a room with a 40hz mode ? Thank you for your answer 🙏🏻
We use a semi anechoic chamber. It's a somewhat smaller version of a full anechoic room. No anechoic room is fully capable of avoiding all modes at the lowest frequencies. Some manufacturers choose to use simulated, blended, nearfield and smoothed graphs in the lower octaves for this reason. Looking at low frequency response in an IEC baffle is nonsensical. That's why we don't tamper with the raw measured response of our setup, it does what it's intended to do from about 2-300Hz and up. For bass response mount in your baffle or enclosure and measure. Or use your preferred simulation method to predict bass response. Any decently engineered woofer will exhibit pistonic behaviour at lower frequencies.

Please help me to see it. SATORI MW13P and sb17cac35 (ceramic) I am confused between these two woofers. The satori is cheaper, probably because of its smaller size. I want a crystal like sound, which unit has the more complete sound?
SB17CAC is a significantly larger midwoofer and has very good bass output capabilities. The Satori MW13P belongs to the top of the range products, but is also a much smaller midwoofer. If you are looking for the best most open and detailed upper midrange I would point to the MW13P. If you need more bass than the MW13P can deliver then the SB17CAC would be a really good choice.
