EA Spork NHL 24 is trash. The UI is trash, as always. The store in Chel is trash, it takes forever to load one item at a time. The battlepass is just a pop up ad that takes an hour to load after nearly every game. They broke it a few years ago, and they murdered it for NHL24.

IT's all EA, biggest piece of shit company in the world! They're incapable of making a real hockey game and can only make stupid bullshit games! It's the same every year. I win most all the games but still can't stand all the BULL! The games are 95% bull and 5% actual hockey. Who the hell in the NHL has magic sticks that go thru your legs so they can keep driving to the net.Who the hell weighs 600 pounds so when you try to hit them you go down. Who the hell in the Nhl gets the puck back 99% of the time when you poke it away. The list goes on and on and on. So much bullshit that if you stand on top of it all you'd be looking down on MT. Everest!

I agree with everything you are saying, happens to our EASHL team constantly. I think it’s geographic based (intentional) connection based input lag + icetilt. Our team is 3 people (we play 3s) 2 on the west and 1 on the east. No matter what internet you pay for, and I’ve upgraded to the fastest available at consumer level, only NASA has a better connection, and no matter what, 1 teammate has 23ms and the other 2 have somewhere between 40 - 60ms with lag spikes to 120ms and it rotates based on who’s hosting. About 1 in 40 games we all get below 30 (when EA allows it). It’s in my opinion that the shit connection is intentionally forced on a team for many factors such as not buying HUT cards, favoritism to Canadian player (especially from Quebec - which also seem like the biggest glitchers in the game), PlayStation favoritism, and if you ever left a negative review on the game. Sounds crazy, but for some reason I don’t think it is. Anyway, we already know we are getting screwed by the outcome of the first faceoff. I’ll have a dangler with 95 speed, 90 acceleration, 90 agility and be blown out of the water by a 6’5” enforcer wondering how this is possible, who spineless glitching trashcans are getting seemingly game exceeding attributes. It’s like EA evaluates both teams before the game and then assigns tilt, geo location hookups, throttles sliders, or over extends sliders and it’s SO OBVIOUS I’m surprised a banner doesn’t drop saying “Ice Tilt Activated” so as to not insult your intelligence. Our opposing teams AI is an animal, always has more slider than you do, always wins the puck battle, insta-pokes without looking, has Connor a McDavid IQ and vision and is the hero of their team, where ours seems like a generic dumb version relegated to a minimum script and skates as if it’s attached to a rod on a bubble hockey table executing a route and just skates straight no matter what. Our AI won’t avoid a hit, pass to someone on an obvious breakaway even after calling for it, literally shadows us and seems to intentionally get in our path on defense and offense, won’t play a position on defense and just shadows one of us going everywhere we go and leaving a man open. Sometimes, our EA seems like it’s intentionally trying to help our opposing team. The difference is night and day. Our goalie averages a 50% save percentage and usually we are done 5 to 0 end of the first with 14 or 15 shots to 5 or 7. Every first period our goalie typically averages a 0 to 10% save percentage. Then on their end, their goalie is so good it makes Hasek look like a back up on the last place AHL team, and I WISH that I was exaggerating but I guarantee someone I never met will read this and they will be like “Holy shit, I thought I was crazy but this is exactly what happens to me” and have the same exact issues, same tone of anger and rage towards this game, and same sense of relief knowing they aren’t crazy. We get screwed so bad when we play. It ignores our dekes, passes as if we never pressed a button and ONLY on scoring chances or plays that could create one. It shanks EASY wide open passes or passes to the opposite person in the worst position that is in the opposite direction that we aimed. It’s so bad my teammates say “I know” before I try and explain that I didn’t do that. This game has become more arcade-like and caters to the credit card stacked HUT teams and glitchari-warriors than any other demographic. Every time, it’s always one player assigned to getting all of the teams goalies and most times if they scores 5 goals in the 1st period all 5 goals were the same exact glitch. Basically, to sum up NHL 24, it’s nothing more than power stop dekes and sound until you can force a cross crease or cut in front for the glitch wrister. Game is pure trash. People are still playing 23. NHL 24 is by far the worst edition to date. Oh yeah, and if I’m skating full speed, I’m not allowed to deke the goalie or go to the backhand to shoot. Even when I move my stick ALL the way over to my backhand it forces a forehand shot. Also, same with slap shots, 50% of the time (or more) the game overrides it and forces a junk wrist shot. This game is so bad it is unplayable. I’ve uninstalled it and won’t play another EA game ever in my life.

The team they have running the game right now are absolutely terrible. The game itself is fun and the graphics and what not are fine, it's like a nice car but the driver is retarded. And I'm not mocking people who are actually mentally handicapped, I'm mocking people who are supposedly not mentally handicapped who are behaving like they are mentally handicapped. That patch was absolutely ridiculous. They marketed hitting as being a focus for this game and that patch made hitting completely non-existent. I'm not sure how any sane, intelligent person could have OK'd that patch, but at least they quickly reversed it when they probably got a shit storm of criticism. And like you say, they say they want to slow progression and they don't actually do that, they just play with the ovr number but the card stats are actually much higher. Worse still, the cards that are supposed to be dominant, team of the year and team builders and eclipsed by the cards that you can only get in the packs that you have to buy. I wouldn't mind the money grabs if they actually put work into the game, but they don't put much work into the game. The biggest thing they did in this past off season is put in the pressure system, and for one, it's a dumb, unfun system and two, it's just showing ice tilt up front when that has been in the game since it's inception (even though they won't admit it, but anyone who plays this game knows it's there). This game could be so great if it was run by better leadership, EA needs to hear all this criticism and make changes.
