Strava Route Builder is Broken

A few months ago Strava released a route building tool, but its nearly impossible to work with. Here is a quick example of where it fails to build a simple route.

My 4th great-grandfather, Issac Kinney Finch, escaped the Wyoming massacre, July 3rd, 1778. Issac's family died as did more than 360 others at the hands of the British and Iroquois.
Built on the backs of the coal miners. The corrupt descendents of the mob bosses saturate the courthouse. Anything looks good from the air. Good from far but far from good.
My fifth great grand father John Jameson and his brother who had just settled there from Connecticut was shot and scalped there by Indians supporting British 1782, There was also internal warfare between Penns. and Connecticut settlers. In 1784 his widow Abigail (Alden) and her father in law and over 500 settlers where forced to leave by a captain Patterson of Penns. military. They were dispossessed of their property and forced into the wilderness not allowed to use the roads. They stayed in the woods for a month and then came back. They immediately jailed Abigail father in law. Abigail road on horseback 60 miles to Pennsylvania Supreme court and represented herself. As a result, Captain Patterson was locked up she was awarded a judgement against him and others; instead she settled out of court for the property and agreed to pledge allegiance to Pennsylvania which she did. Doing genealogy at home during Covid Crisis. I also ordered old book written by my great uncle Stewart Pearce called Annals of Luzerne County. What a beautiful place - thanks for sharing - never been there.
6 behave yourself that was rubish killed me 😂😂
Man I miss living there.
God i miss my home so much!!!
240p? eww
2019 now and same bugs same failure poor route builder
Harvey's, was once called turtle pond, or terrapin pond. People used to fish for them. There were smelt, muskellunge, & lake trout. Also there is a natural spring under water, that is over 250 ft. Deep. I know exactly where it is. Albino bullheads live in it. ( John b.)
Alex Valentine...Inspired aerial views presented professionally...thank you and warm greetings.
I live there! I saw my house.
He said he wasn't getting the most out of his Cayman on that loop which indicates he could have gotten a significantly better time if he were taking it more seriously than he was..
Cool!😎
The 135i does not have a lsd.. It's a "e-lsd" or "e-diff" that brakes the spinning tire and actually lowers the power output to the tires. I have one and it's shit! :D
Next time you are out with the drone, where you are at at 4:20, look straight down with it, and you might see the skeletal hull of one of the old ferry boats that use to run on the lake. We use to snorkle there off our boat.
HorseFlicks for real??
GREET VIDEO..
OMG AWESOMEE!
Thank you for sharing this, I have been to Wilkes-barre and I feel connected to it. I am a descendent of a Joesph Steele, whose family ran the ferry across the Susquehanna in downtown Wilkes-barre. I live in Nebr. so this is a great to see! If you want another idea of a place to shoot ariel footage. I also have a ancestor (Capt. Samuel Ransom) who died in combat fighting the British at Forty-fort and has his name on a monument commemorating the Wyoming Valley Masacre aka the Battle of Wyoming. Thanks again.
"kill!!" AHAHA I'm dying
still watching this in 2015
The Shakies Blog SAME!!!!
Alex this is awesome. Love to see where we live from above. Great work!!!
nice house
Awesome footage :)
What caused it to do that?
jhall651 Not sure, it was the first time that happened to him. He was descending and it just went out of control. Its the original phantom vision and I'm guessing a newer firmware would fix that issue.
Beautiful music to accompany view..
You can easily pick up a 135i for about 10 grand that's a bargain for all that power
Ian Townsend yeah best car for 10k easy idk what else can beat it
i agree just driven a 135 cheap supercar but think its nearer 5 secs to 60 severly fast car great value
brian earl easily get it to the 4 second mark....for coupe
Yes the Cayman S would of been more of a fight but that's 10 grand than the 1 series & that's before you put options on it
Ok, I doubted...this is wicked cool.
I think I managed to cheat this application bug, by simply selecting "Manual Mode" :) Use this tip if you think is ok :)
I just tried to build a route now on Strava and it's still useless. Did the same route with Garmin Connect no bother. It's a far better application. I just need a Garmin Edge 810 now to navigate me!! :)
That poor Cayman was screaming for mercy... GOOD GOD downshift later, man! You'll trash the motor!
I own a new Cayman 2.7 and above 4500RPM it loved to scream and surprisingly punches your spine ;),it loves to slide especially with the optional LSD.
I must say bears are flexible!
I have the same problem, it's not doing what I want, and I stick to Garmin Connect.
I laughed the entire 16 seconds. Not only a wise move but your get a 10 for putting this on youtube
No matter how small, light the 135i is, it's still in the class of an executive sports car. Unlike the Porsche which is an all out sports car.
Weird that they compared the BMW to the Cayman and not the Cayman S. Much better match in terms of performance.
I thought the 135i didn't come with an lsd.
Telexic e diff
I feel like I'm watching William Shattner present a car This *sounds of car flooring it* is the *sound of tires squealing* brand *sound of cats* new *Door closing* BMW 1 *sound of turbos* Series Coupe *sound of man in agony screaming*
where do you get that idea? go on autotrader and look some up, I've found some great deals (low 20's, with 25-30k miles) where the car comes with all maintenance records and has been very well maintained and driven by old people.
But they're all fucked, because they are cheap, and no one looks after them, because they have no value. Its a viscious circle. Skylines are cheap, and once again, fucked.
that's when the intelligent folk swoop in and buy them at a fraction of the cost they were when new. Its still the same car, and it's a bmw. Things are built well.
the guy driving the porsche is a very good driver.
you can get a used Cayman S (in good condition) for the price of a new 135i. then you get basically the same 300 hp but in a much more focused, lighter, and better balanced chassis. definitely the better choice if craving backroads is your priority.
I LOVE SHELTIES!!!!!
Why would you want a 125i if there is a 135i ?
They are wrong, the 135i does not have limited-slip-differential.
Forrest Slater e diff
DAMN, America. We don't get that option. I forgot about it, thanks for the correction! MY B!
Europe has 125i.
There is no 125i 1 series, its 128i, 135i or 1M.
Even this guy says 'Beemer'. NO. Bimmer. Beemer's are BMW motorcycles. Real enthusiasts know this stuff.
