    Hello. I have a 26x50x10 and am wanting to put a ceiling fan in it. What box did you use for your fan and how did you attach it to the metal truss? How is it working for you? Thanks

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I used a standard metal deep circular box and mounted using the same sheet metal screws that attach the roof and walls to the framing. My fan was light enough, but you could add a bolt with washer, lock washer and/or locking nut if you are worried about weight. Disclaimer: I am not an electrician and this video is for entertainment purposes. So you should check with an electrical who knows the electrical codes in your area. Thanks for watching. I think we either put in one bolt with washer and nut, along with 3 sheet metal screws, or all 4 sheet metal screws. The fan is fairly lightweight, and the sheet metal screws we used are heavy duty; the whole building is held together with them. I have 15 hours on mine and I can't keep a blade on for longer than 25 min (destroyed 10 or so so far). I took the follower wheel of as well but all the bolts were tight- can you really adjust something there by maybe losen e.g. the bottom ones? We noticed that once you put tension on the blade, the wheel gets fairly solid. Had a friend there yesterday and we made some adjustments again and after 15 min or so we destroyed another blade. I am in contact with woodland mills and they have no field technician. How we should solve that over the phone is kind of a mystery to me.. my logs needs to be milled asap...

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm so sorry you're having such a problem with your saw. It's been a while since I did this, but I'm pretty sure all 4 allen screws adjusted. Not the hex bolts, but the allen screws. But you should only need to adjust two screws, depending on what side is off center. As you saw in my video, I measured distance from top, bottom, left side, right side of the wheel to the housing to figure out which direction the band was sliding off. For example if the top was a 3mm closer than the left and right side, and the bottom 3mm further, then I would try adjusting the top two screws a quarter turn each then put the wheel back on and measure it again. I'd repeat until I get the top, slides, and bottom as close as I can to one another. Hope that helps, but I may not be understanding your full situation, as I'm not there to see exactly what you're dealing with. You may want to check-out "Sawing with Sandy" on TH-cam as well. He has lots of great videos on these saws, and hundreds more hours of experience with them. Best of luck to you. Hope you get this sorted out soon.

I especially appreciate your comment because I had someone leave a nasty comment on this video saying I talked like I was explaining to 5-year-olds, and that everyone knows what a sheet metal screw is. Thanks for the suggestion. That's exactly what I thought when I built it. Fortunately, it is surrounded by trees on the East and South sides, so it stays remarkably cooler than I expected. I just open 2 or all 3 doors and that fan cools it right off. Just had one of the hottest weekends in the 3 years I've owned the garage (feels like temp of 104*) and the garage was no hotter, with the fan going, than outdoors in the shade. Thanks for the comment and for watching. Have a fantastic day.

      Yes. Logically, what I did this time didn't make any sense. But, the results show for themselves. I think it just requires continuous adjusting of the angle based on the material you're moving, what's underneath, and if you're using the tines or not. I saw one video where they had a hydraulic top-link, which they kept adjusting as they went along to get the desired results. Maybe that's the key.. Thanks for all your continued supportive comments. Much appreciated.

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. I've heard that from other viewers as well. I purchased mine directly from Massimo in Texas in 2019. They seemed to do an excellent job assembling this machine, so I've never had a loose bolt or nut since I've owned it. I think the ones sold in TSC or other retailers are assembled by whoever is around that day, as opposed to people whose job it is all day every day. Checking nuts and bolts as a regular practice is good advice though, for any equipment; especially equipment that gets banged around and vibrates. Thanks for your comments and for watching. • @twc-projects

      That's a great question. I know Massimo sells plow kits for this, and there are companies that make plows that mount onto these. There are lots of videos out there with people using UTVs to plow snow, but I don't know if there are any about the T-Boss 550 specifically. It seems capable, but you may want to consider going up to a bigger engine. Of course it'll always come down to the depth and wetness of the snow, which is different every storm. Unfortunately I just don't have any personal experience with plowing snow in my Massimo. So I can only share what I've noted above. Thanks for watching and for your question.

    My question isn’t related to the subject in this video, but I see you have a lot of experience with that machine. I just purchased a TBoss 550 from tractor supply and I have only driven it maybe 20 minutes. My question and my problem is that when I start downhill, the machine does not have any pressure to slow the descent. It’s as if it kicks into neutral. Is that normal for a model with the CVT transmission? I hope not because we have a lot of hills on the property. Thank you for your time.

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. This is normal for CVT. The clutch engages when the motor spins up enough to create a centrifugal force, thus causing inward pressure onto the drive belt. So, if your foot is off the gas pedal, the clutch may not be closed enough to make contact with the drive belt that connects it to the engine. This is the same as a snowmobile, if you've had any experience with those. Basically, it takes a while to get used to it and then it doesn't seem so strange anymore. It definitely doesn't feel like your typical car transmission. So keeping that in mind, when I'm descending larger hills and want the engine to assist me, I put it in low gear, and keep my foot on the gas just enough to keep the clutch engaged. Again, takes some getting used to. For day to day use though, I rely on the brakes. They work fine. Give it a few weeks, and you'll get more comfortable with it. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and happy riding. Enjoy your new UTV .

    Way to go! Great example of getting in there and fixing stuff vs. calling the people. Pretty great feeling to be able to maintain these machines on your own, and I'm sure a decent cost savings!

    If idle control has Laraedo on it it will be faulty. They have a different one now. Don't get on with Laraedo stamped on it.

    What size trailer do you recommend for the T-Boss?

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects หลายเดือนก่อน

      At least 5ft 6in wide, 9ft long, and load capacity of at least 1,300 lbs. This thing is far bigger and heavier than it seems. I use a "car hauler" style trailer, with electric brakes, which is 16ft long and has a load capacity of 5,500 lbs. Hopefully that helps for comparison when you see it in my videos. Thanks for watching. Have great day.

    Lots of wildlife for sure! Hopefully they all stick around after your build so you can enjoy all of the critters!

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With thousands of wooded acreage surrounding my property, I expect the wildlife won't be going anywhere. They seem to very much enjoy the open areas I've created, as they are frequently there. I have hundreds and hundreds of videos from the trailcams of mostly deer, turkey, etc. So it does take a lot of time and effort to narrow down to the more rare sightings that I think people may enjoy. The bear trying to eat my camera has to be the most amazing thing I've captured so far. Thanks for keeping up with my videos. You're a great support and I really appreciate it. Have a great day Dach.

    I enjoy watching boring videos lol. But yours are fun boring 😅. As for tape I work for a Body Shop Supply place and we sell and deliver tape for many automotive painting shops. And there is more than one style of tape for many applications. And yes some can be very expensive. Highest price I have seen was a special order for industrial painting and it was around $36 a roll and that shop orders 6 or more cases at a time. It does pay for itself when you use good tape made for the project.

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow! $36/roll. That must be good tape. Thanks for the true "pro" tip, unlike my amateur tips. 😉 And thanks for watching even my slightly less exciting videos. Much appreciated. Have a fantastic day.

    I have the same box I filled it with bricks, was ok. Removed them and filled with A gravel and stone dust,was much heavier. But I too will need more weight.

      I've had it filled with clay, with a solid concrete block on top, for a couple yrs now, and that seems to work fine. The slots underneath for pallet folks have been nice too, when I've needed to move the box while I had a different 3pnt implement on my tractor. Thanks for your comment and for watching. Have a fantastic day.

    Purchased my Massimo 550 T Boss last year and it only has 132 miles on it. I am having the same idling issue and I think your 3 part video might help me immensely! Time well spent watching your video. Thank you TWC.

      So glad it was helpful. That's the only issue I've had in three and half years. Be sure to go to my website ( twc-projects.net/resources ) for helpful code guide and links to parts. Thanks for the kind words and for watching my channel. Hope you can fix your issue quickly and be back to riding soon.

    great video. I miss the engine braking that I have on my 570 Polaris quad. the Massimo doesn't seem to have enough brake power down hills. also they advertise 54 inch width. That's true for front wheels. However the rear measures 58 1/2", tight for a 5x10 trailer. Any words of advice on brakes?

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The brakes could be more powerful, but what I did when riding mountain trails was shift down to low when I knew I had a steep incline. It helps with uphill and downhill control. For 99% of what I use it for, the brakes are plenty adequate. I try to tell folks this is not designed to compete with the machines that cost 2x and are tuned for off-road abusive trail riding. This machine is great for running around your property and helping you get work done, and have a little fun while doing it. Thanks for your support and comments. Have a great day.
