Reich undoubtedly made some interesting observations regarding the function of orgasm and i do not doubt that many of his thoughts are close to a truth in many regards. Anyone with a basic occult knowledge will be aware of the power of an orgasm, in a variety of magical practices, particularly if both parties have maintained chastity for a good period. Similarly a coven of female witches, assuming they are straight, understand that a male witch adds, particularly if in a state of undress or near undress, adds a charge to the covens workings of spells/invocations etc. The sex impulse, exoterically, is a drive to action good or bad. Sexual chastity has and is observed by many high mystics and geniuses, who have learned to channel sexual desire in a constructive manner, whilst unrestricted sexual expression can negatively affect those guilty of shameless sexual expression. There are some uncomfortable truths which need to be understood. A disproportionate number of serial killers happen to be homosexual and any number of diseases are linked to sexual promiscuity, straight or gay. The church has traditionally frowned upon sex based on their largely esoteric understanding it has regarding the power of sex and orgasm and its consequences. Naturally, a decent social structure is maintained with an orderly sexual culture. Sex is, and should be, sacred; an expression of love, not animalistic lust. Like many in the modern world, i have had many sexual partners, many wild nights and happy memories. That said, sexual satisfaction is an itch that cant really be scratched. Personally speaking, i have never had sex as satisfying than when the orgasm is achieved as an expression of love in a committed relationship. I have sex with my wife but as a practicing member of a mystery school, i do not orgasm during sex, or at any other time for that matter. The sex is duly an expression of a deep connection but is not a satisfaction of my own personal lusts. In the west this idea seems unbelievable. In the East, however, the teachings of the Tao are clear as to the benefits of sexual continence, but i concede, it wont be for everyone. Suffice to say, i dont have muscle spasms, aggression issues, blocked energy channels or any neurosis that i am aware of. I concur with the notion that that the sex force is the God force, or whatever word people attach to it. Sex, we are told, is the reason for the fall of man and sex will also provide the method for our ascent - of this i have no doubt. Great discussion, thank you.

One reason I love the BodyTalk System is it's integral and non-invasive and I think it's light years ahead of when that book in the 80s was written, I honestly believe there are other strategies that are more integral than traditional therapy. I think traditional therapy is still rooted in a Cartesian paradigm where it's very compartmentalized in the left brain hemisphere predominately. There are ways to access prior versions of ourselves in ways that don't involve verbal communication. Sometimes verbal communication can prolong trauma or outrageous pain. Sometimes consciousness is faster and more effective when used in an integral quantum based strategy.
