Hello and great video. I don't have Cup 2s as mine is not HP so I have Pilot Sport 4 255 front and 275 Rears but thinking of upgrading to your setup: 305/325... Questions: 1 - Did these wider front tires reduce your turning radius? 2 - Did you notice an increase in road noise? If so a lot?

I wish you made a follow up video to this showing how this was fixed…or did you and I don’t see it?

The older GT500 is only better in the fact that it has 3 pedals and you roll your own gears, and it sounds better more intimidating. The newer GT500 is better at everything else. It's quicker, faster, handles better, brakes better, drives better, reacts quicker, shifts quicker and revs higher and faster.

Appreciate this video... I installed the AC carbon fiber rear valance on my GT yesterday. I had heard the parts were interchangeable and it ended up being the case. I was also able to put it on without removing the rear bumper. Unfortunately I have the same problem as you did; little bit of a gap right above the exhausts on both sides, with the passenger side being a bit worse. My fitment is actually slightly better than yours in this video, but still annoying... trying to brainstorm a fix, but at least your video kinda confirmed that I'm not a dope who did it wrong, so thanks. If I find a fix, I'll comment here so the next guy benefits...

Sounds like tensioners/timing guides

A real common issue with these 4 valve DOHC mod motors is the timing chain tensioners go bad and causes the timing chain to get sloppy and make noise. Now I can't guarantee that is the problem, but that Is what I would look at first. And luckily it's not that bad of a job. Yea it will cost some money but is definitely better than a full rebuild. Again it could be something else for sure, but those timing chain tensioners are notorious for going bad in these motors and it could be a good place to start checking. Just throwing an idea out there for you. Hope you get it all sorted out.

It’s because the wiring harness hits the frame, causes the fuse to short and becomes not available. What I did, when I put my ford performance x pipe on, I disconnected the harness and covered it with a towel on both sides and installed the x pipe, I had to jerk it up and down and after the installation, reconnected everything and taped up the area, worked well. This is a manufacturing issue, bad design

Mach sounds like a v8 sports car and the GT500 sounds like classic muscle. I personally like the mach 1 sound better.

Glad you mentioned the comfort aspect. I had a GT350 but the ride quality was horrible. Very rough on public roads. I sold it and went back to a S197 GT500. And like others have said, I ditched the prop rod on the S197 and installed hood struts from Shelby.

I have that identical 2012 shelby gt500. I did the intake and Roush exhaust. Sounds awesome. I'm trying to replace the stripes on my bumper as well. Hard to find. That 2020 shelby is just beautiful!

The 4S look good. FYI- I mounted track tires on my 2022 Mach 1. Continental Extreme Contact Force. 315mm out front and 325mm on the rear. Clearance is good. Nothing rubs.

My GT premium was scheduled for prod 6-29-23. Checked the tracker and it showed in production and got the window sticker only to get that stupid email from Ford about supply chain BS. While schedule a build you don’t have parts for? Meanwhile i see mustangs with similar specs built and collecting dust. I put down my deposit 3 days before the order banks opened and as soon as they did my order was submitted.I won’t lie i am slowly loosing excitement. This is ridiculous Might just cancel and get me an AMG GTS coupe.

Very interesting, I wasn’t aware someone got bumped up the list just for being a TH-camr. I placed my Dark Horse order the same week the banks opened and about two weeks ago, received an email stating it was scheduled for August production. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if I get an email in August citing delays. To your point though, it would’ve been nice to see something like that happen to a true enthusiast, and not someone who’s just going to sell the car so quickly.

What ive read from ford is dark horse will use the crankshaft, engine block, connecting rods and connecting rod bolts from the 2020+ gt500 5.2 so im curious how theyre going to get 5.0L displacement using a 5.2 block. Everyone has so many questions about this car but no solid answers
