My dad worked for them in Michigan. Years ago 70s till 80s then gone. Great place to work.

IMT made this kind of tractor 20 years ago, but with newest electronics produced in that time. We bought license from MF , bought engines first from homemade IMR, later,for tractors with 100 HP and more, we bought engines from Perkins and Mercedes Benz. Gear box were made in ZF company in Germany, so it was not so bad tractor for 80's and 90's. To be noticed IMT produced 55000 tractors a year in 80' and 90's and produced tractors with 500 HP.

i tried out one of these tractors and you're supposed to use the glow plugs for 5 or 6 seconds before start up even in warm weather then it fires right up

I think it's takes too much time to start the engine. that's about 2-3 second. it should be no longer than 1 sec.
