Incredible ! I saw him sing this in 1976 at The Hartford Civic Center at a rock n roll oldies show … and this was definitely the hi light of the show . And he still has it here in this performance !!

Only discovered Jay back in November. Been listening to his music every day since. Never a hit in UK other than a couple of tunes on northern soul scene. Amazing voice. Should have been up there with the best.

Amazing voice for a 75 year old. In his prime he was THE BEST. I saw him live several times at Westbury Music Fair in the 1990’s. RIP Jay.

At that age, to be blessed with those pipes that he sings with, he still has rhythm, beat of the music, his voice doesn't waver. This man is the end of an era. One of the best. My own father was a singer and country steel guitar player. My dad passed last year at 80 of Dementia, I know people have tried to belittle this man , saying let someone else take over. The last 3 of my father's last five years, he couldn't remember how to chord a guitar, or sing or remember words to a song. So even tho some folks think a person like Jay Black can't cut it anymore, he will always have a warm place in my heart. Last I did know, he was in an assisted care facility. God Bless Jay Black 💗

Jay is WITHOUT a DOUBT ONE of the Greatest Singers of ALL TIME. Those who say the singers of today are Nearly as good are TOTALLY DELUSIONAL. Most of them COULD NOT spell Music, Let alone know what BOTH VOCALS AND HARMONIES are. They should ALL take SINGING LESSONS.

Jay you’re voice is like a magical moment that will last forever in time. The sweetness I’ll never forget since the first time I heard it back many years ago and makes me feel young again. You and Elvis are the two best singers of all time. Always wished I could of met both of you in person sometime, but that’s never going to come true or happen. So the best and closest to it is listening to your songs and Elvis’s songs and close my eyes and dream.

The audio isn't great but upon listening you can tell Jay still has it. His voice hasn't aged at all.

He is Amazing even in his 70s he gives me goosebumps when he sings Cara Mia and hits those high notes. I was a teenager when I first heard him sing it and when I found a video of him performing it at 60+ I still got goosebumps and I'm 69 years old now
