Burgers made that does a joke for just made but ambulance is there no birthday the aliens orange is gone oni bernard real but only to be cry and scared he was just a movie
Honestly, these are the most terrifying illustrations of the tripods to me. Everything is so creepy, out of place, ruthlessly industrial and uncanny. They look cartoonish to most people today, but you have to remember, both HG Wells and the artist who conceived these illustrations lived in a time in which there weren't even reliable flying planes yet, the Great War had yet to come, and these people were thinking about spaceships, aliens, and horrific walking war machines that could shoot heat rays that disintegrate human flesh and flay buildings and military equipment, withstand the strongest bombardments the army and navy could muster, and belch forth black clouds of choking smoke that turn living people into charred ghosts. That is some seriously horrifying stuff, and why the historical context and their understanding of extraterrestrials of the time make these drawings so haunting.
Comparing between the Alvim Correa, Ryan Church, and Warwick Goble tripods, if they were on a flat plain how would they run if they needed to? I personally think that the Alvim Correa tripod would lower to the ground and do a spider-like crawl while the Ryan Church tripod would do more of a gallop and I'm not even sure in the Warwick Goble tripod is even able to move.
Worrick goble fuming rn
The world of wars movie in 2005 was good for the era it was made in

ngl the 1885 ones kinda feel more scarier
You're sort of right, the original war of the worlds story came way before the book as it was a series of newspaper comic issues.

It’s because how hg wells wite the book and 2005 copy it almost. Like if true dislike if not
For me those one second best in design right after Herons from The Great Martian War
curiosidade as artes do tripods de 1885 foram feitas por um brasileiro
The second one was the creepiest
War of the worlds was a phenomenal book.
And yet the film still couldn't put the Thunderchild
Brazilian illustrator Alvin Correa 💯
1885-2023
Tripods are scary until they get a steel fridge hurled at them. Its called a battleships main gun
Why tripod has 1 eye?
I can see this version as a Trevor Henderson creature
Based on a true story
That’s what they actually look like back in the day
Why the head small
It's stupid to compare
