Tall Pine Speed Line
This is a chest cam video of me spiking up a pine and doing a speed line out to avoid hitting the small plants and things below the tree. It was a fun video to make-hope you enjoy!!

Tree Removal over Old Grist Mill at NC State Fairgrounds #gopro #treework
มุมมอง 7932 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a grapple saw and tree climber combo over the old mill at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. I started out with the Stihl 201T saw and switched to the 362 for the big wood. My climbing setup is detailed in another video, but I had a wire core lanyard and a zigzag in MRS configuration. Let me know if you have specific questions.

what rope is that
@@Budzy_FN Yale scandere
An Alpine butterfly knot and fee👍d the rope through it and you will have a retrieval canopy anchor
How does this set up compares to the Rope Runner PRO, do you like this one better
@@blackheart9068 I have a rope runner pro and it almost always stays in my bag. Unless you have a brand new and super smooth rope, the rope runner is just rough and jumpy. The zigzag is always smooth as butter no matter how much pine sap or whatever is in my rope.
Just wish that Chicane was 6" shorter.
Amen brother what I been saying for years
Very informative.
What rope is that?
Yale scandere. It’s out of production now. Don’t recommend. The long term review isn’t great
If you have a fairly large vise you can do this easily to . Little bit to hard to control the pressure with the log splitter . Don’t do that shit .
lol we did it
How are you climbing in MRS.. you didn’t show it.. thanks
Same method just without a neck lanyard. Neck lanyard not needed for MRS. I just hook up the ankle and knee ascender the same way and walk up. Only problem is it’s way slower
Great footage.. I like long trips.. I own a Sym Cruisym 300 every monday i put my helmet and hit the road
How did you like the Scandere overall? I use mine for Drt mostly as it’s a little bouncy but it seems to be holding up well for a 48 strand rope. I was worried it would wear down on natural crotch use. August said his started slipping in his ZigZag but didn’t state if it was because of Zig wear or rope wear. Just curious.
Did not like the scandere. It didn’t last long at all for me. Have already retired it
That was a good demo for us that know nothing about that type of rigging system.
Good deal man glad you liked it
I have a 2019 C650GT. No problems with it so far and I use it daily as a commuter into London. It is super comfortable and with the heated seat and grips make it a very useable daily. I think its best USP is the huge under seat storage. I have done 11k miles on it and it’s going in for a belt change and rollers with usual oil and filter change plus air filter. I’m also putting new tyres on it- Michelin road pilot 4. Total cost with BMW Motorrad in Uk £950 pounds!
can you tell me what is your high anchor in the tree for your SRT ascent at the beginning of the video ? I don't undertand why the right part of the rope is not moving ....
The rope is basically tied at the top. There is a steel carabiner at the top that makes a cinch knot around the limb so that the right side is basically just a long tail from the knot that helps to retrieve it. If I pull the right side down, the knot will come down so I can untie it. The traditional method is just to forget the knot and tie the right side to the base of the tree. However, this puts double the load on the limb above. Using the tie at the top cuts the stationary rope load in half compared to tying it at the base of the tree. Make any sense?
Hey man quick question if you're only killing trees not pruning what device would you have on you for safety and if you need to get down quickly??? I used to use a first gen petzl Grigri but cant find them anymore...i use 12mm rope for climb amd work...
I use the zigzag in MRS config for removals too. It’s my go to for almost everything. However I also typically use spikes and a lanyard too if the tree is all coming down. For safety purposes, I always carry a good ol fashioned figure 8 to slide down in emergency if my other descender breaks. If you’re looking for something similar to the gri gri, maybe try the spiderjack? I never liked the gri gri in the first place, but let me know if you have any more questions about all that
Chest mount
Wow interesting. I think I would have to go with the helmet. It’s so much easier to see everythint
@@rambotreeman5274 I guess I like seeing the bike better too
Is that the original exhaust?
Yes
Also have had a 2013. Yes, the engine really sounds that loudly and banging. But it's a lot of fun to ride. There are not many scooters with 60hp out there...
Manually?? WTH GETTA SCREEN
Screen won’t help because I have to get them out. A net won’t work either because the are stuck in the edge of the drain. And I like diving so why not
I would like to encourage someone to a relationship with Jesus Christ Jesus loves you Today is the day of repentance and salvation John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Romans 10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved. God bless
I agree with the message!
That was totally wicked.
Thanks mr incredible
❤🎉nice😊
I love everything about this video
make blandar from coconut trees
What’s that
Well done. Thanks for the to the point explanation.
No need for a $250 shop press. Just get yourself a $5,000 log splitter. 😂 I like it.
I see your point haha but the idea is to show creativity. There are many things you could use to apply force if you have the right size sockets to line it up. Good luck!!
@@rambotreeman5274 I totally agree. Necessity is the mother of all inventions.
best gear ever made
Go down deep and find the flooded city
Sounds intriguing. I’m advanced scuba certified now, so may have to go back
That log flip 🤌
Yeah man 50/50 luck/practice
Great new video, thanks. Hope engineering school is going well and of course . . . Happy Easter!
Glad you enjoyed it! School is still going haha. Happy Easter to you as well!
What year is that BMW and have you had any issues with it?
2013. No issues but the maintenance is a bear
@@rambotreeman5274 can you give more detail to the "maintenance is a bear" statement? I'm looking at buying a low mileage 2015 of the same scoot and don't wanna get into a problem child.
@@mtetzlaff yeah I believe that there are some guides on the maintenance out there, but the 30k service takes 3 people to stretch a new belt onto the cvt with special tools and blah blah blah it’s a nightmare. I took it to dealer and we waited 1.5 month for tools to ship here from Germany and then it took the other half of the second month to get it done and then they charged me 4K for it after it was all done. And I’m 1/3 of the way to the next one already. See what I mean?
like the tip for how much tighten the oil filter and the funnel is a good idea. also remember not to remove filler cap before you drain oil - i did not and oil will shoot out real hard thanks
What kind of guns are those
Jesse has a .22 caliber 1911 and I have a .223 AR that I built.
Nice
thank you
Mr, price ptzl zig zag
Had such a hard time draining the oil just bc its in such a dumb spot was thinking about a funnel but not sure
Hey bro what suspenders are that on the treemotion ? And where did you install on the saddle??
The suspenders are just some random clearance suspenders that I found at Lowes or something. I put a carabiner to hook them on the single middle rear link, and on the front, the loops are just slipped around my waist belt. Definitely not rated for life support but helps keep the saddle up when I have a big chainsaw and I don’t want to cut off circulation with the waist belt.
Nice job
Hello YT algorithm. Thanks for actually suggesting something I am interested in. And just down the road from me. Good stuff. Subscribed less than halfway in my first video of yours. Also, thank you for helping protect a piece of history. Those second or third growth trees were pretty. But way too close to the old mill.
Glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for subscribing. Yeah, it was time for that tree to go.
Enjoyed the video. Nice grapple.
OHHH NO THE HOSE BROKE!! Nice video
Looks like those guys have done that before.
Yeah we sure have haha
Nice Job. Especially like the guy on the loader. Also, Filter usually says how much to tighten
That was an amazing video that looks so fun to do but I have no trails like that.😂😂
Nice commentary job. Very professional and believable
All time favorite line @ ~ 3:12..."I don't know, I feel like that tree shouldn't be there" ...that had me rollin' for some reason! 😂. Glad you stayed safe my young brother. Praise God.
I like the slow mode it’s nice
You're supposed to fill the oil filter lol
If the helmet comes ‘equipped with Bluetooth’ - can I only use the Sena system? Or could I use any Bluetooth device with it? I’m loooking online for what helmet to get
Usually only the sena base is compatible with the sena Bluetooth part. If you are asking about sena pairing with other Bluetooth brands-they told me that it will work fine. The only problem is you can’t connect as many people usually
Awesome work brother! The video had me bobbin' & weavin'. Dangerous Dave's got nothin' on you! haha. God bless and stay safe!
Thanks! Looking forward to seeing you guys in a few weeks!
Looks great!
Wow! You know I was praying for your safety all the way! PLEASE be careful!!! This is 2 dumb questions (1) how long is what you videoed-miles (2) how do you get back It was a beautiful view. NC, TN or where? I thought watching videos of you climbing trees was bad--doesn't compare to this. Please, please be careful!
Ridgeline is 1.5 miles, but I am not sure about big rock. Both of those trails are on the way back to the car which means I didn’t film the long, hard climb to the start of the trails
