He studied at “Vincenzo Bellini" Conservatory of Music - Catania, Italy. He specialized at the International School of Musical Specialization (Bobbio -PC) with Hans Deinzer ( Nuremberg Philarmonic Orchestra), Fabrizio Meloni (Teatro alla Scala Philarmonic Orchestra) and Antony Pay (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra).
He graduated in Theology at “Studio Teologico San Paolo” - Catania, discussing a thesis on sacred music. He studied composition and choir direction at “Vincenzo Bellini" Conservatory of Music - Catania and University of Messina (SSIS) with: A.Barbarossa, M.Leonardi, Elisa Poidomani, Carmelo Crinò, Bruno Tirotta. Polyphonic repertoire with the teachers: Bruno Zagni, Walter Marzilli, Sebastian Korn, electronic music with Piero Cusato and Stanislao Giacomantonio.
He has made numerous recordings/publications (ICOT-Tokyo, ASTRUM editions, Sonitus, Aldebaran editions, Suvini Zerboni, Musicarte, MEA -Ethno-anthropological museum De Mauro)

I love your score! I like that it is very musical and that you used very long pieces of music to tie different fragments, and it works! I also like that you didn't make over use of Mickey Mousing, (a thing some of us tend to do) but were still able to underline the important hitpoints, especially at the dance scene! I think there is a loss of power at the moment of the fight inside the gas station shop, but maybe I am wrong, it is subjective, after all. All in all, great score and wonderful orchestration! Congratulations!

Salvo, Can you tell the clarinetists listening in what set-up you used on this performance? (Clarinet model, mouthpiece, ligature etc)? By the way, did you study this Stravinsky piece with Tony Pay?
@118191314536748284553 Hello Robert, listening clarinetists Italian which sound like a typical Italian, but I grew up musically listening A.Pay, R.Stolzmann, P.Mayer, S.Mayer, K. Leister. With Fabrizio Meloni I studied the three pieces by Stravinsky and Hans Deinzer famous principal clarinet of Nuremberg's Philharmonic Orchestra. Currently I like Lillo Palermo, Corrado Giuffredi, Alessandro Carbonare, Salvatore Assenza. I use a clarinet Buffet R13 Bb and Buffet A prestige, mouthpiece Vandoren B40 profile, the barrel is a "Clarinetbarrel" (Australian) and the bell is a "Backun". I was very pleased to hear ... see you soon
Memorable performance! Doesn't let the tone get washed out in the first movement, doesn't let shrillness creep in in the second, and makes a real dance movement of the third. The big, woody, colorful tone quality and the pulsating rhythm do the trick. Bravo!
