Loved the 10th Kingdom growing up! It's one of the DVDs I can't get rid of because it can be hard to find on streaming services!

I have exclusively used glue dots for years and I have some invaluable hints to share: 1. Get the glue lines instead of dots, it lasts about 4x as long and you can cut just what you need to fit into whatever deep tip or even a multiplacer as needed. 2. Get titanium scissors to cut excess amounts. They are stick-resistant so it is very easy to get the dots off of them. I also use them for other sticky stuff all the time. Try to get a small size 3. Get ceramic tweezers to handle getting the dots into the tip so you don't stab yourself and don't use fingers because oils on our hands will make it not stick properly inside the tip. 4. Know that acrylic drills will make your dot become GUMMY faster. You will need to change it more often. Resin smooth surface does not attach to as much impurities so it works better with the dots. 6. They are the absolute worst for ABs. Totally avoid using them excpet if they are old and need a change. 7. This will sound a bit strange, but don't pull the dot too much because it will lose elasticity and become gummier faster. 8. They are sold at michaels for almsot half of Amazon's price (in Canada)

Thank you for all of this. It's so freaking rare that ANYONE with a platform will speak about what's happening in this industry. Re your final request on the vid, DP is one of my 'special interest' hobbies. I am AuDHD and diamond painting is one of the few things that gives me peace when my mind is screaming from a thousand streams of input and sensory overload. It allows me a few hours a week where I don't feel like I have my head inside a heavy metal drumkit from the constant overload of working in a crowded and noisy office. This is one of the reasons I get so angry with exploitative companies - of which there are SO MANY in diamond painting! For a LOT of neurodivergent people, hobbies like diamond painting aren't just about "relaxation", they're peace, therapy, sensory joy, escape from a world that's not built for us... and DP companies both know and exploit this. You just have to look at the promotional blurbs to see this... "good for mental health", "Promotes calm", "makes you sparkle", "inner peace". etc. etc. They deliberately target people who are already vulnerable as their main client base, and then wonder why we get upset when they use our disabilities and neurodivergence against us for 💰💰💵💵💸💸 Also, I was raised in a cult situation, so I can recognise the ploys companies like DAC use to drum up sales, and I literally find it nauseating and disgusting. The constant deliberate understocking, the fomo marketing, the "gifts" they build into their marketing strategies to push people already prone to compulsive behaviour and addiction to 'collect em all' while making damn sure they never stock enough to fulfill that drive. "VIP points/rewards" stop being a gift when the company all but makes it mandatory to use said VIP program. It's an inbuilt sales strategy NOT a 'gift'. It's built into their sales and promotional plans and their revenue is calculated around the added sales these programs promote. It's called "gamification of sales". Temu does it too, it's a strategy that involves driving up 'FOMO' and promising huge discounts if the customer only spends more faster. It's as far from a "gift" as you can get. I absolutely agree in being loyal to an artist... but my loyalty IS to the *artist* with the caveat that as the customer *I* come first and foremost. My rights and needs come first. I will NEVER go against my own moral code and shop from an exploitative and abusive company. I support artists by purchasing the art directly from them and - with their permission - using the art I *purchased directly from the artist* to get a custom DP kit from an ethical and reputable company if I can't get that artist's work from another company directly.

🐞 I started out with micro glue dots..tried everything out there and came right back to micro glue dots for my single placer..I use Alien putty for the multi placer and I discovered that the DAC new pen is AMAZING with all special drills!!

Do you use the pens showing in this video--the pink, blue, & pinkish one, I think you said they were DAC--in your regular diamond painting, or do you prefer another type? Ty

Interesting, I'm new to diamond art. I'm still not sure about storage, I like this because it's smaller but I like the storage units where you can see the colors. I do have some bottles with screw caps for kitting up,but they are too big and expensive for long term storage. I might look at Elizabeth Ward storage,it tends to be less expensive than DAC.

I'm new to diamond art. I'm not crazy about the wax, it's messy and continually needs to be replaced. Can you use glue dots for a multiplacer though?? Also do glue dots last longer than wax ??

First time viewer here. I love Yellow Dog Designs. They are the only trays I use since upgrading from the budget friendly trays. Carrie and Doug are awesome. I got to meet them in person a couple of times (they are located about 2.5 to 3 hours away from me). When my second order of trays arrived the corner of the narrow tray was cracked in shipping. Emailed them with a picture and also got a quick response. They even delivered the replacement tray to my door (they were coming to my city to visit family) that's how I got to meet Carrie. I highly recommend trying their trays.

I love glue dots! I use them all the time in my single placer. I can’t use them in my multi-placer. I also use tweezers to poke the glue dots in. I have probably 6-8 tweezers. Oh! I use the mini dots. Thank You for the video. ❤

Thank you so much for sharing g that! I use the micro dots in my Diamond art club pens. I honestly tried using the glue tabs from press on nails, lol. Those worked ok in a pinch! But definitely prefer the micro dots. They do hold on to special drills and won’t let go at times. But overall I prefer them to wax and putty. Less mess and less residue! I live in a high humidity area and I think it makes them more sticky, so thanks for tips for storing loaded pens! I will give you a shout out on my channel today! Blessings to you!💕💕💕💕

I am glad you did this video. Glue dots do have learning curve. I like the glue dots for DAC and the wax for my budget friendly canvas.

There's a big difference between "morally", "ethically", and *legally* questionable. Hannah is *legally* in the right here. DAC paid their employees to *do a job* and render the artwork the same way any other company would render derivative works to slap the image on a tshirt or shrink it for resale in a frame. The revenue from the sales of Hanna's work *paid for that* in full. It doesn't matter whether any other company would choose to use those renderings or not, or if they feel "icky" or not. "icky" isn't "illegal". Hannah gained ownership of the renderings when the contract and license were dissolved. They are HERS, to do with as she wishes. Regarding the company? They're *really good* at shining influencers on, saying what sounds good, spinning there abuse into sympathy, and otherwise scaring artists and dissenters into keeping their mouths shut. They are masters of bullying, doxing, abuse, harassment, charging more than their checkout price, coercing customers into spending far more than they want to get their "VIP status" up and then banning them so they can't cash out on their VIP discounts, and driving their community into a hate fueled flame campaign targeted on anyone that leaves even a whiff of a bad review. I've had SO many reviews magically removed from review websites (google, Trustpilot etc.) on the grounds of "defamation" and been banned from those sites, while DAC proceeds to run their downvote brigades to bomb every other unrelated review I've ever made. I will never use them again, and I'm getting extremely close to avoiding any account or community event that supports them. I sometimes wish I'd never heard of diamond painting, because as much as I love the hobby, that company has caused more trauma than it's worth and I can't effing escape them. They're like freaking salmonella... They're everywhere.

I could never pull enough weight to hunt with a bow . I did use a cross bow to hunt Alligator with success.

Might as well speak out while you still can. Unfortunately, the direction for freedom of speech will soon be silenced. No longer willl we be able to have an opinion on things that may bring awareness or even cause a healthy debate about. A lot of fear mongering will take place with lawsuits suing you for what you can and cannot say. I think you’re pretty smart with the way you have gone about discussing what many may see as a sensitive issue, and could get yourself blacklisted or cancelled, by what maybe seen as having a strong based opinion one way or the other, that may influence your audience. Have to say, Im impressed with they way you handled yourself.

Seems that the disagreement is who owns the renderings. Legally, unless stated specifically in their contract, DAC owns the renderings. They are DAC's intellectual property. HL can take her artwork anywhere she wants, but not the renderings. I foresee problems for her in her future. The next company she tries to work with will probably be very painfully specific in their contracts. If she bulks, she will have trouble convincing reputable companies to work with her afterwards. No one likes losing money. Legally does not mean morally. Just because she should have the rights to all copies of her work, doesn't mean she does.

Dac took a bad bad road treating customers terribly, not allowing any feedback that is not positive in any form..I do hope their business fails by their own hand. Too late for redemption in my opinion. There are better things in life to do than get caught up in this drama. Plenty if other decent diamond painting canvases and companies without baggage and drama....

I think you have done an incredible job with these last few videos regarding the Diamond Art Club versus Hannah Lynn subject. You’ve been very objective and have presented facts not fiction. When you have put your opinion in, you have been very clear that it is your opinion and not a fact. I really enjoyed watching these videos and look forward to other videos you put out.

This makes it sound like they sent files of renderings to Hannah and she’s taking them and giving them to other companies and that is not at all what’s going on. I’ve been licensed with a few companies and they will send pictures of kits for quality control or low quality pictures with a watermark of rendered patterns for the artists approval but never files. Every Diamond art company worth their salt is going to have similar renderings because it’s literally taking the images - which belong to each artist, and square by square turning them from a colour patch into a pixelated one. They may end up looking the same in the end if the same images are being used… but unless you purchase the rights to the images (which is BIG money) the images belong to the artists and once a contract is up, they can bring them to whichever company they choose. DAC did not purchase the rights to Hannah’s images nor did they send files over - no company does this and if they’re saying they did, they’d need proof of that. It’s a lie they can easily be caught in. On top of this, going to ANY TH-camr to post a public statement is super weird. You may be flattered and I have nothing against you or your channel, but their actions are questionable. When I add this with all of the posts in various groups from people that say they were banned from DAC’s FB group for saying something was wrong with their kit or asking questions regarding AI etc, it makes me question their integrity and practices. Their behaviour is bizarre.

I don’t really know what I think. I feel bad for Hannah Lynn but I also feel DAC is in the right here.

Doug and Carrie with Yellow Dog Designs are THE BEST! Their trays are just so great!!! There is an arrow on the back of the stopper; that goes up. 🤓 I purchased one tray with a full lid (I chose ‘Glorious Good’ for it) and I use it for that huge amount of background colour in every project. By choosing a colour instead of black or white, I can always see the drills easily in my tray and I never have to pour it in and out of the bottle.

I feel like all comments are on Hannah Lynn's side. But we actually don't know what exactly their contract said or what a court would think about it. Sorry, but I myself can understand DAC's view. Maybe they are not right but as already mentioned, we can not be entirely be sure that Hannah Lynn is right either. Maybe if she would not be as emotional about moving on, she would have never expected to just take the renderings with her. Personally, if I licensed with a new company I would expect them to do ALL the necessary work, that needs to be done. With diamond paintings, this includes the rendering. I would actually not like if the new company steels from the first one just "to save some time".

I have 2 from Yellow Dog with the little ledges on the back. I absolutely love them and have donated all my other trays. I love the colors, the designs on the back, the height on the sides.

I ordered from Yellow Dog Designs a couple of months back. It's always a risk (and shipping isn't cheap) to get things sent to New Zealand. But I love everything I got, it was absolutely worth every cent. So much so, I just ordered some more trays just a couple of days ago. Can't recommend them enough!
