Flowtech Header Fiasco Dodge D100
มุมมอง 945 หลายเดือนก่อน
What I had to do to get these flow tech headers to work on a 1987 Dodge D100 LA 318. It’s not pretty. Cheaper not better. #automobile #budgetbuild #classiccars #shadetreearmy @DeadDodgeGarage @UncleTonysGarage @pstreetgarage7304

Fixing 1934 Ford 3 Window Coupe Door Problems
Manual choke 4bbl edelbrock works great
Put a set of Bilstein's shocks on this and it will be more amazing
... Interesting... As I bought a 1953 Dodge Regent four door earlier this year, that may end up with this sized motor ...! Best regards from the mountains of central California ...
Man those 3 windows are the hot ticket. I'd love to own it! I believe that's a 34. The smokers window feature and the dash are typical to 34... butit could be titled as anything. Good vid
I have an 87 grand Wagoneer myself as well as several of the older jeeps you're 100% right about people stopping you. I've actually got to the point where if I'm in a rush or I'm just running out for a quick quick errand I will not take the grand Wagoneer because it always invokes some conversation with somebody about know Their father had one or the grandfather had one or Uncle had one
I dig the older headlights with the yellow tinge. Too many people are switching to the LED;s.
What did you use for upper and lower radiator hose?
Universal hoses.
@screamnmonkee that's the route I was leaning towards. Mostly checking to see if there was another option
Nice truck !
I have a 52 Chrysler, trying to swap the same engine in it. What mounts did you use for the engine and trans ?
My father had one. Riding in the front seat 'tween mom and dad. If I close my eyes, I can still see the clock! 😅
where did you get the engine and transmision mounts
Butch’s, but it is not easy swap. Engine in and out 8 times. Instructions useless. Kit is really for 48-49.
Great job MOPAR for life 👍🏻🇦🇺.
The original steering wheel looks great . Dad had a black 55 Plymouth in the mid sixties with red trim . 👍🏻🇦🇺.
👍🏻🇦🇺
👍🏻🇦🇺old school MOPAR for life .
Great video! Question, when you did the scarebird disc brake kit, what did you do for master cylinder? Did you have to relocate one with a booster and eliminate the mc on the frame rail?
Universal mc booster from eBay mounted on firewall, but they sell underfloor kits online.
@@screamnmonkee thanks! will check that out!!
What a pain.
Nice find, Believe it or not, the Grand Wagoneer is my dream car, especially cobalt blue and chromed out. Hard to find a base model these days. Thanks for the walk through.
Hope you get it sorted
It worked
Nice
It’s for sale..???? How much $$$
Good morning it’s for sale..??? How much..!!!
Nice car ! Good you got the nut out
Been a while since you posted ! Glad it's running good !
The vacuum motor that that fails closed, where does it connect to?
I don’t know. I would assume the thermal vacuum switch towards front of engine. I just screwed mine open.
I also have a 52 Ford it is a custom line I have had it for 51 years I made it a gasser back 1976 , it has a built 390 with 2 750 Holly's and 5 speed stick
That is what we call can-u-custom
nice work
Installed an electric fuel pump on mine , never had a problem after that. 👍 Great driver. 👍
Did you drill out the old broken screws the tap the hole? OR can you? I have the same issue with my 1989 wheels
Clocked center cap over one lug, drilled and tapped new holes with self tapping screws
someone has already done that..I have broken screws all the way around/six per wheel . Thanks for responding. I enjoy your videos
Great Tips thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Cool trick
They look good !
I just bought an unfinished 53 Ford gasser project…..
Thats a great old truck !! Very clean underneath. Probably 160 k. Wouldnt bother me.
Ram Jam song black Betty to a video riding around would be something 🔥
Bike Looks Cool an run forever 👽👍🏻✨
Please get rid of the red makes it look cheep and cheesy
I did right after video
What engine mounts did you use to get that 318 in the 51?
Butch’s cool stuff. I would recommend making your own is possible
Did you have any issues with clearance for your steering? Love what your doing with it! Im planning on building a 1950 Plymouth special deluxe and ive been looking into what engine/transmission to swap into it and im hoping to keep the original steering
Yes. Look at older videos. Moved column straight, swivel joints, 64-66 barracuda power steering exhaust manifolds. A LOT OF WORK. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t. I would look into slant six. No easy swaps in this vehicle.
Still a clean swap IMHO :)
@@screamnmonkee I'm glad you said that, I just bought 50 Deluxe and was thinking of swapping in a 318 but since you said you wouldn't do it again if you had to, I have a Chevy 250 Inline Six and 4 speed auto trans that came out of a 75 Nova 4 door that was rebuilt a couple years ago and never put into anything that's sitting in my shop, I wonder how hard that swap would be, the 218 that is in the car is missing the head and valve covers, and has been for quite a while according to the guy I bought it from and I know I don't want to fool with it, there's a vintage restoration garage here in my hometown so I think I'll just donate the motor to them, and let the experts mess with it.
Hopefully you didn t get too many tree droppings
No, we were lucky.
Love it!
Nice you got lots of helpers
too short and missing its vent cap
The orange wires. Splice off arent fused properly from factor.. fusible links suck. You need to add an inline fuse. Thats the first thing anyone should do. The orange wires on the antidiesel solenoid on the carb throttle those wires in that area tend to shrink and arc off the metal there causing fires. You need to fix your orange wires. And add an 10amp inline fuse. Fusible links just cause fires. You also need to an add a fuse between the alternator and battery. What happens if you get an issue there ? Fire
Cool project
SO FAR SO GOOD. AMONG OTHERS I HAD A 52, 53, & 54. GREAT BODY STYLE, AND IT'S NOT A 55 CHEVY. CAN'T WAIT TO SE IT FARTHER ALONG.
Thank you. Maybe starting up next weekend.
Great Vid! Got a question: I have a 89 GW. Do you know what the relay is for on the drivers side front wheel well?
I believe it is fog lights
@@screamnmonkee Disconnected CB Radio?
I thought you had a lot place to get the tail light covers. Thanks 🤷♂️ yeah we know the wires need to be replaced if you want LEDs 👍
Just need bulbs, any parts store that match the regular bulb number 1157 or 1156. You just need the color you are wanting, red to stop, not white. No wiring required.
Owed a 1980 model 360 AMC T/Flight in white camel 🐪 interior with floor shift . Man did that thing have a beautiful exhaust note love these wagons 👍🏻🇦🇺.
I have a no click no start problem. Replaced starter relay and starter still no power. I’m Still looking for the bug.
Use test light see it power going to solenoid, if not check wiring going to solenoid. There is an orange wire with a fusible link.
Also check your grounds.
