Awesome! Yeah it’s been great with no issues anymore, feels solid & stable. Have never seen or heard of it before and ran across it and picked it up and glad others have too. If you get a minute after you’re done let me know how your install went and thoughts on it.

@@Glitcher01 Install went well. Toughest part for me was getting solder to stick the the 5V and ground you have to scrape off on the mainboard and the alignment is pretty tight. I have an FX Pak Pro Rev D cart. That version was supposed to completely fix the graphics issues but it creates lots of visual noise on the screen. This mod removed all the noise and it looks great now. Almost as good as my 1chip consoles on a crt.

I used to have a baggie with a bunch of different resistors/cap values but since RGH3 I’ve more or less removed it. I still prefer to RGH1.2 the phats though.

@Glitcher01 it emites a pulse that tricks the CPU into resetting until it returns a pulse , I miss the jtag flashable kernels with fan speed control temp readings and overclocks. Good time

Yea everything is rgh3 now except I do rgh1.2 on jaspers/falcons via chip.

Probably cut out a little rectangle for the wheel to show just a little inside/behind the battery door cover so it’s “incognito”

Have you checked the pot measurement with a multimeter? Possible it’s out of spec. I’ve also come across non readable drives when the disc was too close or too far from the laser. Spindle could be too high or low. But I would check the measurement of the pot and adjust as needed.

@ damn it, was hoping it wouldn’t come to that. Tho the calibration makes sense. Before I stripped the optical drive down, the gears was locked up. So maybe it had been dropped in the past? When I put it all together again the gears was working nicely again, and the carrier slid across back to home position nicely too. Fingers crossed this is the final step, and thanks

You can create an updflash.bin and place onto the root of your usb. Boot back into xell with usb plugged in and it will update the nand to the latest. Hopefully that explains if not put a time stamp so I can better explain.

Im trying to find a good balance without the mic being too close, I’ll work on that. And the left ear thing is probably because I had to voice over the ending half due to mic issues but I try to keep things even if I can but sometimes I just gotta salvage even if it means the audio is weird sometimes.

Not as hard as it used to be, the slims are very easy now consisting of only two wires and a resistor however each board revision may require a different step or resistor. I’ve always been partial to mod chips but I’ll take instaboots any day using RGH3. Phats are a little different, I suggest maybe staying clear of them due to age and (lack of) ease performing the modification. It can be daunting, I’ve certainly messed up a few when I began jtaging xenons back in the day, I will say the Xbox 360 has been the most versatile and fun console to modify - by way of running dual nand setups and the number of variations since day one and of course now a days we have zero fuse cpu mods which I personally don’t care about but cool we’ve come this far.

Carry case was an eBay thing, was somewhat difficult to find as they’re not seriously abundant for some reason, dug around for some time to find a decently priced/decent condition one. The manual was a pick up through various other lots/purchases have about 3 or 4 of them now. Love collecting manuals.

@@lewisgrant7622 After your comment I dug around and seems that it happened on the later revisions which makes sense since the mobo revision was on 09 hence why my childhood one bought on day 1 never had this so it threw me a little and assumed who I got it from mickey moused parts together but its legit.

Cause I can and it’s awesome. Like why put leds on a fan… useless but still fun to look at I guess. I can build you one with any sound you want though. I can put leds on the fan, RGH, flash your dvd drive to play back ups plus ROL and a 250gb fully loaded HDD for $500

@@EatSleepSkrrt heard, yeah ok I’m working on another RGH so I’ll throw the R34 in it with the Supra. Thinking maybe R34 power button and Supra as the eject.
