    The first aerial squid looks like muck on the front element of the lens. It shows no rotational characteristics relative to the camera - that aren't explained by internal glass components - and changes from light to dark in precisely the way we'd expect of a semi-translucent medium like bird poo, against a changing background. A problem with so many cases is they are at the limit of optical reach. Beyond that is digital "zoom", which takes a small section of a sensor, and enlarges it to fit the screen. At that magnification individual light receptors (pixels) turn fuzzy, optically compromised bits of information, into solid geometric shapes. One doesn't need to be a hoaxer to join non-existent dots, though the back stories to many cases imply as much. Being a proponent of the best anomalous cases, one is forced to conclude that the majority are a branch of entertainment for an enthusiast audience.

    My bad towards the start; the Wow! Signal showed up at 10-16pm, not 10-42. And another minor correction, Sylvia Shemwell spoke at Elvis Week 1996, here:th-cam.com/video/mvj92kdos3c/w-d-xo.html - oh aye, and...the discussion with a female fan mentioned is on "Elvis Recorded Live on Stage in Memphis" - the two books flashing up at the end when Kristian asks about Elvis' contacts from beyond the grave are Hans Holzer: Elvis Speaks from Beyond the Grave (which is a compilation of dealings with a few dead celebrities) and Peter Eicher: Elvis Sightings which covers real Elvis, i.e., suggesting he faked his death, and Spirit Elvis, i.e., suggesting he is dead.

I also believe theres sub species and other kinds of snakes, undocumented, that grow by thier own capacities, normal to thier laws of growth. Im a super fan of these stories. But hugely disappointed in current expeditions to find these animals. Why no expeditions to find the lair of the 100 plus foot congo snake that allmost attacked that colonels helicopter??? Cheers.

    Why do you think nobody has raised the UFO theory in 46 years? Why do you think none of the two books presents considerable evidence about it? I'm talking about people who has devoted decades of research into this matter. PS: There WAS a helicopter that night in the air. A military one.

    • @assapwebinars
      @assapwebinars หลายเดือนก่อน

      Kristian: I would suspect the books, as I admit i haven't read them are likely to be more centred on the topic of the missing individuals and investigations around them. Having a more grounded, true crime, weighing the matter of prejudice and poor practises. Rather than adding a fantastical UFOlogy element. It also is likely the authors did not know about the phenomena that was occurring at the time.

  • @borderlands6606
    @borderlands6606 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Idealism suggests that all reality is mental, with matter being simply a more persistent and persuasive organisation of mind. In that context apparitions are one of the more unusual manifestations of a mental landscape that includes consensus reality, but are not of a separate type. This is instructive, if not exhaustive, when dealing with a variety of anomalous phenomena. I agree with Alan Murdie's feelings on the perception of ghosts, which are probably not subject to physical recording media. This questions the history and practice of "research" on the subject, which assumes physical traces of phenomena that may well be exclusively mental. While apparitions are mind stuff like everything else in our perception, I would tentatively posit that crisis apparitions, hauntings, poltergeists, ghosts, and phantom females, do not elicit the same response in the percipient, which is the only difference we can categorise.

    You certainly can use two IR CCTV Cameras in the same room with overlapping observation arcs...as long as they are slightly off set in relation to each other so that the IR light doesn't create lens flaring in the opposite camera....I use two camera to cover areas all the time.

    I think this might be my fave ASSAP presentation of all time! And, what a treat at the end of the video with all that tangible evidence of paranormal phenomena. I thought the 'Bothell Hell House' case was good, this is 10X better! I do hope they share more, and that one day the family reveal their identities. Btw, try to get that poltergeist to apport a diamond or a gold bar instead of coins all the time! Good idea, eh?!

    • @borderlands6606

      Poltergeists have a limited repertoire. Moving objects, producing low denomination coins, changing TV channels, knocks and raps. Assuming these are not hoaxing cases, it's as if whatever entity is producing the phenomenon is restricted to pranks. In human terms, polts are wind up merchants. Their motivation is that of a control freak looking to stress people for kicks. I doubt whether they are deceased mortal spirits, through they sometime imitate them, but are a kind of psychic ghoul exploiting human misery. Possibly the same phenomenon that comes through on Ouija boards and planchettes.

    Fascinating that these unseen and menacing forces are still at work in this chaotic age we're in. Maybe the dystopia provides a smorgasbord of sustenance for poltergeist activity and it wouldn't surprise me if there's now been an increase in the phenomenon.

  • @borderlands6606

    It sounds like whatever ceremony the younger female indulged in, offered permission for some kind of low-level graveyard entity to make an appearance. Polts and possession cases tend to be rule-bound, with the thing making a legalistic claim to a terrain with boundaries in which to indulge its vexatious behaviour. Have the family involved the church? A similarly legalistic claim might be the start of getting rid of the problem. If it throws a fit they will know it's demonic (whatever that is) in nature, and will eventually respond to counter claim.

    • @uaps28
      @uaps28 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the 'vexation cycle' is common in poltergeist cases. Then they go dormant for a while. It's the same patterns again & again. Btw, sometimes just saying out aloud, "Jesus" can ease the problem.

Not sure if it had anything to do with damaged roof. I was only a kid then. My older brother was on a sofa at his girlfriends house and was woken with a bang bright light and glass covering him. I love Peter's meticulous and detail-oriented approach to this subject. However, I don't see any reason why he's setting a threshold below which there is "no activity". If the combined score of a person and a place is not zero, surely there would be rare and infrequent activity, but not none?

    Glad to hear a more nuanced take on infrasound, it has become like hypoxia, part of the pseudo-scientific canon. I've long been intrigued by the association between thunderstorms and the paranormal, and suspect that beyond horror film tropes and the possibility of electrocution, there is something about atmospheric and percussive effects that makes such encounters more likely.

    My wife had what she perceived as a very powerful olfactory experience one Christmas many years ago at her parents' house. They were in the kitchen and she and her mum suddenly smelled the scent of a very distinctive Estee Lauder perfume ("Youth Dew") which her deceased grandmother (on her mother's side) always used to wear. It was supposedly a very distinctive scent which came out of nowhere and which they both recognised and identified immediately, and yet her sister and others in the house at the time could not smell it. A short while later, her aunt arrived for the festivities, and as soon as she walked through the door, without any prompting, she said "Whew, who's wearing Youth Dew?" After a few moments the smell disappeared, and they never could find any explanation for it. Her grandmother had been dead for many years already at this time, as far as I know.
