    • @Symphiney
      @Symphiney 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      10 years isn't much in the world of TES. Take a look at Riften in ESO vs Skyrim...they aren't terribly different and they're almost 1000 years apart.

    • @DPendrillion
      @DPendrillion 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well for once they used if I remember correctly an engine which basically built up on the Oblivion engine. The game went into production at least 2 years before the Skyrim release. Or might be even earlier. It is an MMO focus is unlike the single player games , on playability over a wide range of operating specs. Its not like an online mode of Skyrim. TES singleplayer operates differently than ESO. Although if you look at their current DLC Greymoor you will see they reached slowly a level that is similar to what they had in TES V - Skyrim. Also MMO use a different scale of things compared to Singleplayer games. Its a bit hard to describe. But in an MMO often there needs to be more room and the scale tends toward less details in the field of view compared to a SP game. (something that when done poorly annoys the heck out of me) :D

    • @HOMM4
      @HOMM4 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Symphiney bro are you serious now? He is talking about the 10 years diff between the games are released obviously. The games, not the Tamriel history. Because if we talk about the time in Tamriel , tes 4 takes place almost 1000 years after ESO.

    • @gaur1269

    If Cyrodil is in the Elder Scrolls Online and many other places, why would a person want a remaster if this is literally the same thing?

    • @DPendrillion
      @DPendrillion 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well the Country is in the game. Not the Content. And not all regions of Skyrim Morrowind and Cyrodiil are accessible yet. Also, ESOs graphics aren't really up to a remaster Standard. Also the game plays not in the 3rd/4th Era like the singleplayer games. It plays in 2E 582 a lot of things are different in these times :)

      @@DPendrillion I honestly prefer it this way. I've played Oblivion and skyrim but I feel like the elder scrolls online is how the franchise should be. There is an Arena in Oblivions Imperial City... Also in ESO Imperial City... The new - "old" Kvatch has an Arena too... It was always conceptualised with an Arena when they made Oblivion, but since Kvatch was the first city destroyed by the Daedra, we never see it.

  • @DMIwriter
    @DMIwriter 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I know it seems like a small gripe, but it bothers me that most the other cities are completely different in ESO than they were in their original games. Take Mournhold for example, total re-design. Yet Anvil is exactly the same. I get that it's 700 years before Morrowind, and you could just explain it away with 700 years or revisions and rebuilding, but it still bothers me.

    • @Crysta1Pisto1
      @Crysta1Pisto1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand the gripe with some cities but Mournhold in Morrowind was nothing special where as in ESO it actually looks impressive. Especially the tribunal temple.

    • @DMIwriter
      @DMIwriter 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, I just appreciated Mournhold in Morrowind for it's sheer size. It actually felt like a capital city in Morrowind, whereas in ESO it's hardly any larger or grander than Davon's Watch. I do appreciate the layout more in ESO, but it's the small size that gets me. Especially since ESO is scaled way bigger than the other Elder Scrolls games. And it's really the only city I've encountered so far that's been dramatically changed. Anvil is identical, Riften is almost exactly the same, the Imperial City is almost exactly the same, Windhelm has roughly the same layout even though the architecture style is completely different, Cheydinhal has roughly the same layout with some minor changes, and Chorrol is roughly the same, just missing the northern half with the great oak. I haven't been to Bruma yet, but I would imagine it's roughly the same as well.

    • @DPendrillion
      @DPendrillion 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can agree on that. But I guess ZOS decided that recognising the place was paramount. Also the sacking of Mournhold through Mehrunes Dagon hasn't yet happened as far as I know? The city gets Razed by him. So they have to rebuild it. Also when you explore TES III Mournhold you have the ruins of "Old Mournhold" Only the Temple seems to survive and they put it onto another level alltogether in ESO.

    • @RebSike
      @RebSike 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was going to say the same, something that bothers me is that the Palace of the Kings in Windhelm looks totally different than in Skyrim, they say that it was built during Ysgramor's time but that doesn't appear the case in ESO

    • @HazarTulum
      @HazarTulum 7 ปีที่แล้ว
