Sabudana Tikki Recipe | साबूदाना टिक्की रेसिपी | How to make Sago Potato tikki |
Sabudana or sago Tikki Recipe (Very healthy and light Breakfast or snakes)
Ingredients:-
Sabudana (Sago/Tapioca Pearls): 4 cups
Water: 3 cups
Medium Potatoes: 5
Green Chilies: 2-3 (finely chopped)
Fresh Coriander Leaves: 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
Mustard Oil: for shallow frying
Cumin Powder (Jeera Powder): 2 teaspoons
Black Salt: to taste
Salt: to taste
Chaat Masala: 2 teaspoons
Lemon Juice: 2 tablespoons
Instructions
Soak the Sabudana:
Rinse the sabudana under running water until the water runs clear.
Soak the sabudana in 3 cups of water for at least 4-5 hours or overnight. The sabudana should absorb all the water and become soft.
Prepare the Potatoes:
Boil the potatoes until they are soft and fully cooked.
Once cooked, peel and mash the potatoes in a large mixing bowl.
Mix Ingredients:
Add the soaked sabudana to the mashed potatoes.
Add the finely chopped green chilies and fresh coriander leaves.
Add cumin powder, black salt, regular salt, chaat masala, and lemon juice to the mixture.
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly to form a dough-like consistency. Make sure the mixture is well combined and holds together when shaped.
Shape the Tikkis:
Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a small, round patty or tikki. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
Fry the Tikkis:
Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, place the tikkis in the pan and shallow fry them until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides. Make sure to flip them gently to avoid breaking.
Serve:
Once the tikkis are fried, place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
Serve the sabudana tikkis hot with a side of green chutney or yogurt.
