This model is probably the best sounding Gio of all! I have this exact one and I love it. Also very comfortable body shape and a fast slim neck. Often false advertised having the Infinity RS pickups, but those are the Powersound set (edit: he mentioned it, they‘re called PSND). Hot single coils with the height of the pole pieces adapted to the neck radius. The Infinity RS pickups (in GRG-140 for ex.) are mellower sounding and have flat non staggered pole pieces. edit2: beside new locking tuner I didn‘t have to change anything, it‘s so good. The bridge is wonderful. Usually I swap parts for better sound, on this one I just moved the volume knob back and mounted a kill switch in its hole. I did a very shallow fretboard scalloping and lubed every friction point. It stays in tune for days even after dive bombing. Bought used for 110€- it‘s a steal!
I bought the same it is cheaper much better in this price range from squire bullet series can't say about affinity but where this guitar shines is humbucker is really sound great
@@lone-wolf-1 is there a way make guitar sound more straty as you said is the amp that make sound more straty i have black star id core i use amplitude 5 sometimes .
@@Random1217-o1d With straty sound I mean a bell like sound, wich has to come first from the nacked guitar and then from the pickups. My Slick SL57 sounds unplugged more bell like than this Ibanez, but plugged in- the Ibanez has a closer timbre to a real Strat. So, the pickups are obviously this good. I doubt, that you can emulate a bell like sound on an amp. It comes from the guitar only. What you can do on an amp is adjust for a more trebly, less bass and more clear and focussed typical single coil sound. But not the bell like tone...
@@lone-wolf-1 okay I'll try adjusting the eq i haven't played much attention to single coils mostly i use humbucker but recently i liked the bell like tone of fender my Ibanez didn't sound like that so mostly i use humbuckers for this price it is a steal
Mine is 3.1 kg /6.83 lbs. No neck dive. On all of my guitars I move the back strap pin 10-12 cm up. So the guitar hangs more ergonomic infront of my belly, and helps a little against neck dive too.
@@alexisbvbm what are you even trying to say? That u don't need an amp? Well you don't really need it but there's techniques and songs that would only work/sound decent when played with a amp
Make sure that the string is wrapped around the tuner at least 3 or 2 times ...also give ure strings a bit of a stretch before you play ...u tube the problem to find certain techniques aswell
Retiene muy bien el tono pero normal. Lo que si son un problema son sus afinadores, no mantiene muy bien la afinacion. De fabrica como cualquier guitarra viene muy altas las cuerdas y hay que tocarlas. Saludos.
First it did not hold tune well while using the trem. But I worked on it and lubed sparely all friction points: nut grooves, trem posts, saddles under the strings, spring loopes in the back. Before you swap the tuners, try first with tightening its little screws on the tuning button. But not overtighten, because the plastic ring can break. Just enough to turn with some resistance. This helps a lot on poorly made tuner. Tuning instability very rare comes from the tuners, if you know how to proper string it up and if you allways tune UP to pitch, never down. Later I installed locking tuners, wich made it a tiny little bit better. Now I can dive bomb, and it's back in tune. Last trick if it goes out of tune: pull hard on the G string upwards and let it snap on the fretboard. Like magic: back in tune! 😊
I bought one off a teenager last March 2023 for $70. Same, he wanted $100 and I offered $70. Not a bad guitar. I like the neck and it does not go out of tune.

I got a black İbanez GRG 170 dx .The guitar goes out of tune when I play.Can you help me to resolve this issue?
