My workmen roughcast and render each wall together because it is foolhardy to build scaffolding twice for one spot. Your workmen do it the hard way. So they put up scaffolding, roughcast, pull down scaffolding then have to put it up back to render. I see scaffolding taking 3 hours to install

Keep it up. It took me 7 years and people started talking saying look how him start and can't finish.... God has been good to me and so He is good to you as well

The finishing and then furnishings take up the most of the cost! It is very stressful building, especially when you have to rely on others to manage the buld for you... it is very healthy to take a break. We took a break of two years 😅 - it all just got too much! Keep pressing on you are doing a great job 💪🏽

It s best to prick it up and dress it rather than doing the dry wall.

Just a suggestion to you, u dont have to drywall the ceiling, u cud use sure coat to plaster it, it would be cheaper to do and it take less material without any hacking up of the concrete. Just a suggestion.

Never tell families if you are building a house. They will assume you have money and they will come to you with all their financial problem for you to solve..if you refuse them money you will become an enemy. Keep your projects a secret always.

1st of all the house is in an awesome stage. 2nd Finishing wi breed you if you no careful😩 3rd Take your break and put a little money in the bank as your emergency fund ( don’t use it to build) you will feel less anxious when you have a safety net. And when you are able take a little trip and look at the house it will help to solidify your reason for doing this. These are things that worked for me.

Get a Project Manager and stop being a cheapskate

Always reach out to companies like Tankwell/Discount Lumber Hardware and get quotations, and pay them from abroad by wire transfers. The workman or contractor will go and collect the materials.

Work men are not architects you should get architects drawing and designing before you start building. You should never start a job without an architect drawing plan plus project manager should be on the building site full time. This is cutting corners, it could work out very expensive in the end. 🇬🇧🇯🇲🙏🏾🪻🌷🌻😊
