Play a match with me, Pocket. If you win, I'll subscribe to your channel. And if I win, even then I will subscribe to your channel. 😂🎉
Hi Pocket, do you know his equipment? Thanks!
@albatrosstt7291 he is using donic defplay classic sensor blade, with bluestorm z1 and victas curl p1v
The fact he's doing those forehands with a defensive blade shows me a lot tbh.
What’s happening umair, is this a bad patch your going through as I heard u lost to Sammy kaye
@@Jas0908 yeah losing to everyone lately. Could be my new equipment from Andro. Still adjusting and not comfortable with it yet
@@TTDPocketRocketare you sponsored by them now? Or did u just want to change from butterfly?
@@muhammadchishti9463 yes sponsored by andro
It takes time to get used to new equipment. How often are you changing the rubbers because I think those are not particularly long lasting.
Incredible match, and great effort! So close many times
He probably realised that he wasn't going to win against you by defending, you were very consistent with your looping and loop-push.
@@Belgamor77 yep he started pivoting like ryu seung-min 😂
No shame in losing to Robert! He’s a very good player. He beat me in a H/C Cup match in Sutton when he played for Crusaders as a kid. He had a nice start on me and was too good for me to catch up. Then I got him in a league match a couple of years later and he battered me! Now I’d be lucky to get a point! Yours was a close high quality match.
Great match with the sound off, well played gents
@@JohnnyGoodall-cs9yn 😅🤣🤣
roberts BH was the difference here. His placement is precise, the way he place that to the wide FH. And hes always dictating the tempo. But i know youll comeback stronger Pocket. Chin up, you played well
Roberts got a lot stronger and fitter since the TTD Juniors videos
Quality match, crucial third set there
@@TTMatthew Yep. Tough one to take.
A bit unlucky!
Hard luck! You just need to be more aggressive. Nearly every point you won in this game came from aggression. You went too defensive on several balls where you could have easily engaged in top-to-top rallies. I hope to see more aggression in your next match, as this seems to be the main area your game is lacking. All good luck!
Was chairman present? If not, that is the reason you lost
@@hyperxparth906 lol no he wasn't sadly.
Well played man,u played nicely with robert so it was fine (even if there were nets and edges) u still concentrated really well, partly thing is when u analyse ur opponent of how he plays When u were attacking (mostly spinning to his awkward placements) u won those points, but to keep playing sometimes aggressive coulda worked, its just variations of speed and placement, the 1-1 in sets,if u were going for more speed and slow each time,i'd bet u win that set and carrying it on due to the consistency, but when u were trying to go aggressive in the end,u were getting a little inconsistent due to how many shots u played (less speed) with more spin than what u play usually (a little bit more speed with spin) can make u win against robert if that consistency went on,letting robert to anticipate ur shots more harder (and i know its not easy after to let that game go with just playing spin) its just making small adjustments each time u play ur shots on the table + if u realised against robert its not always to do defense, rather than u forcing to let him do the mistakes (only sometimes it did happen) robert can still attack that ball no matter for him cuz he's not making too many of those unforced errors,he will make u do the mistake nonetheless,so to keep attacking ^as i've said on the top^ was more ideal, but well done and good effort man👍.
@JoeTTno7 Good analysis. At the moment, I am really struggling to get use to my new andro setup.
ah,at the national qualifiers? Wow,well training will make it easier for ur time so better get grafting at it :) Also i have my own channel of recording my videos,u may not know me well in england because am unranked and am starting to play my tournaments now since only i need is experience (like years to come on) but u already know VR table tennis (11 table tennis) I was former world no.7 in vr + its my yt channels name also in VR as I represent UK myself so yh. My big win atm is Janak shah who is no.12 U17 in england.
If you use Nuzn you need booster they don't act as well( according to sponsored friend of mine) without booster he prefers R53 @@TTDPocketRocket
Unlucky! Could have gone either way. I trained with Robert when I was younger, about ten years ago. He was always around the same level as me, but seeing how far he has come he'd absolutely wipe the floor with me now. I think he's one of the few players in the country that has the close to perfect technique playing style. No awkward shots and always seems to be in the right place.
@@bentonxavier5094 agree. Very good technically Robert. Good player. First time he has beaten me in a tournament but his improvement is very apparent.
You might want to consider upgrading to a faster blade, mate! It sounds like your shots could use a bit more power, especially compared to someone using a quicker, crisper blade, like your opponent. Viscaria blades are great, no doubt, but in my opinion, they don’t quite match the demands of today’s game anymore. Switching to something like a Butterfly Super Alc, or blades from Victas, Xiom, or Joola, could really take your game to the next level. Plus, you’ll still have solid control with these options!
@@tarigomar7982 yeah viscaria is a bit outdated, the newer blades definitely worth trying. I am currently using andro syntelliac vci blade and NUZN 50 rubbers which are great.
@TTDPocketRocket That's great! andro has released good stuff recently and is worth a try indeed. Looking forward to seeing you playing with the new setup soon. Good luck !
2:07 That backhand follow through has a very wonky flex 😂😂 (the flexibility of the blade,or maybe its just ur uncontrollable wrist 😂)
The point at 3-6 2-2,one of ur best rallies *at that pace* considering that people needs to play more like this because the winner is an example of when playing at this pace, the only way to win this point is just to control the rhythm and catch the opponent + staying at the table to catch more of ur opponent.
Did u play the Grand Prix this year
Yep. Didn't do too good.
I did aswell and I didn’t do to good aha
08:30 thats what he wanted to do on the previous ball :D
Thanks for sharing. I love watching you play!
His contact is so clean and spinny, reminds me of Robles
I hope im wrong but i guess there is a problem with your knees like mine. Legs look like a little curvy. If you havent you should go see a doctor. Good match tho.
Wonder if you could have switched him to forehand a bit more as he seemed to prefer lobbing with backhand and mayhe that would have made him move a bit more and forced errors. In and out side to side seems to be key against this style? As well as being ready to play 30 shots in a rally if needs be and not get impatient 😂.b
Its exactly like watching Kanak Jha play, what a striking resemblance in playing style. Your forehand is also world class
he's doing the moses
@@ayobarnee1 haha yeah the new moses. I think Chris could be so dangerous if he attacks more. At the moment he just lobs and relies on mistakes from his opponents.
Wish I watched these tactics before I played Chris at the weekend!😂
@@adamfaulkner1616 the drop shot is key here. When I watched you play him this weekend, you were not doing the drop shots correctly. When we do a drop shot, you need to be close to the table and take it off the bounce with a slightly down motion block. This way the 2nd bounce will be on the table or just off the edge of the table. Very easy to practise mate. The way you did it was like a block and it is very easy for him to lob it back on.
7:13 is a good example of the drop shot. I take it very early off the bounce and going down on the ball slightly.
@@TTDPocketRocket I need to work on the feeling mate lol
the reincarcenation of moses
@@hyperxparth906 😅. He came back slimmer
Such an entertaining match. Loved the dropshots in the rallies, cool breaks of rhythm.
Interesting style for sure. Sidespin lobbing must catch a few people out
yes I think ive heard it once or twice!!!
I've got a guy in my local league who plays this lobbing style. I hate playing against it so much. You need the patience of a saint to win
@@oxtt4314 the drop shot is key to win against this style. In the 3rd set, it was more comfortable for me as I did more drop shots.
@TTDPocketRocket thanks for the advice. I'll see if I can implement it into my next match against him.
Good boy!
@@andrewgray1934 that's my line when I win a point haha
I'm a big fan of the lobbing style. Great to see it. I'm guessing most junior clubs don't have enough court space to teach this style, which is probably why we don't see it more often?
@@beyiTV Chris is great to watch at tournaments, he gets a lot back.
Great game, nice practice for your loop, pity about the chloe every point next door embarrassing 😳
great game. well played pocket
Great game to watch 😃 What’s your favourite blade and rubbers set-up?
@@theospring6183 I use Andro equipment. Vci blade with NUZN 50 on both sides. Been playing with this for a few months, it's great!
@@TTDPocketRocket how would you compare the nuzn 50 rubbers to T05 ?
@@jamesw7224 very different rubbers. 05 is an old rubber, softer sponge, bouncier and not much control. NUZN 50 is a modern hard rubber with very grippy top sheet. The control and feeling is incredible. Great rubber.
@@TTDPocketRocket absolute legend for the reply man, I've been using T05 on forehand and Andro r48 on backhand on viscaria blade for a awhile now and always been worried about changing away from t05. Might have to give these nuzn rubbers a try
His serves looked tricky
@@joehughes3764 he has very good serves. He won many points just from his serves.
I saw Emanuel play against my club in France. He is number n727 in France playing in National 3 (5th division) but he could play in National 2 and his level is closer to n500. Being top1000 in France is a very very good level as to stay at this level you almost need to dedicate to table tennis as a full time job.
@@IntruX Agree. He is a very good player indeed.
