This late-afternoon hike is the mostly uphill section between the Homestead Junction and Annie's Junction. Very steep in parts and requiring much focus but the lovely sunset view through storm clouds at the summit was worth the effort. Stebbins Cold Canyon is part of the University of California Natural Reserve System and a popular hiking destination between the city of Davis and Lake Berryessa.
