A radiant evening filled with the soul piercing dance rhythms of ancient India features world renowned dancers Sujata Mohapatra (Odissi) extolling the classic work of Padmabhibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra , Savitha Sastry (Bharata Natyam) with the NYC premiere of Soul Cages, Ayona Bhaduri (Odissi) former touring dancer with the Nrityagram Dance Ensemble making her NYC solo debut, and a special kathak duet by Prashant Shah and Ammr Vandal featuring classic work from legendary Kathak Guru Padmasree Kumudini Lakhia.
Sacred Vision is part of the DanceFest INDIA! six day festival (June 25 - June 30), in Brooklyn's Cultural district featuring a Summer Intensive Dance Academy, master classes presented with The School at Mark Morris Dance Center, and family day programming presented with The Brooklyn Children's Museum.
