I'm honestly surprised there isn't any commentary from the player character, even just a line or two. Something as simple as 'Is this...blood?' or 'What was that?' when you initially saw someone for a split second. As tacky as it may be, some acknowledgement would have been a bit fun, but that may be me. I could see how nothing would be effective in terms of 'Did I really see that?'.
Yeah, it would definitely give a bit of spice to it, they also put in lines like "the cleaning spray is empty, I should get a new" so we are not even a mute protagonist, it would be interesting :D
