Hi Keke it would be my pleasure to help you find your new home...thank you for reaching out
Inconvenient fact: Washington State is the WORST state for taxes on the middle and lower classes, it's the best if you're rich or wealthy. Please look it up, Google "repressive state taxes". And this is in a state run by the far left, that proclaims to represent the lower classes wth
T-Town is the best city in the USA !!!! Shout out to all my TAC People !!!
This place is expensive as ham lol
Thank you ms. Sheila Duncan, thank you for sharing, appreciate you.❤
Facts I use an umbrella , and there is no great hospitality so be ready for that people have a greater cold shoulder then most im southern I came for camping hiking waterfalls I came for all the outdoor stuff. I can say they have to many rules to see sights traffic is bad and people on too much coffee, they will run you. The freak over, so get Uber. They are rude, bossy, overbearing, and the highway is double the problem.
This whole 'Washingtonians don't use umbrellas BS' is utter nonsense. Of course you can, should, and are definitely allowed to use one if you so please (I DO for cryin' out loud, 'cause it's the smart thing to do. It makes you stay dry when others get wet and miserable, hahaha). In fact, I know lots of born and raised Washingtonians who swear by using an umbrella when it's called for. Gee, that we even have to discuss something like that... In my mind it is a fact of life that people from different regions have different social characteristics, nothing wrong with that. There are plenty of majorly awesome, helpful, decent, kind, and outrageously wonderful people here in WA (I am one dare I say). As for too many rules... can you give examples as to what bothered you personally? Traffic around the bigger cities IS bad, especially during rush hour, but no different from any other big cities in the country (I have seen many dozens of them myself, so I know). Not everybody drinks coffee, it is a bit of a stereotype, and those who do... so what? They love their coffee, let them be. It sounds to me like you really dislike being here, and I am sorry that you feel that way about WA and our people. For myself this is the one and only state in the US that I consider home. We have 50 to choose from. I am certain that everybody can - with a little effort - find the one right for THEM. Take what resonates with you and what you love about a place, country, people, etc., and leave the rest. In the meantime simply enjoy being able to be in such a beautiful place on earth (there are, of course, thousands more), and I am also sure with some digging you can find some great food, too. Alternatively cook at home. Thrive!
They have 4 season
The umbrella thing is funny but true. I dont think I’ve ever used an umbrella. We just let it rain on us, who cares keep it pushing 😂
so true what can we do glad you enjoyed the video
Literally our average temp is most definitely NOT between 70°-80° & it absolutely does NOT rain everyday, & I promise you our kids do NOT have their rainy day recess actually outside in the rain, never have. Also, I use umbrellas when it rains and I'm born & raised. The Tacoma school district has FEW great schools these days honestly. Idek where you get all this misinformation from, but, it is 100% misinformation, most of it is anyways. AND IF ANYONE OUT HERE IS CONSIDERING MOVING TO TACOMA, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DONT!!!! TACOMA IS SEEING GENTRIFICATION HAPPENING ALL OVER & THE AMOUNT OF HOMELESS POPULATION IS EVER GROWING DAILY IT SEEMS & THEN THERE IS ALL THE CRIME THAT HAS INCREASED IMMENSELY, ESPECIALLY THE VIOLENT ONES!! PLEASE, MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. THE PPL WHO HAVE LIVED HERE ALL OUR LIVES ARE BEING FORCED OUT & ITS ABSOLUTELY NOT OK, YEA TACOMA IS BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT, SO BY ALL MEANS, PLEASE COME VISIT FROM TIME TO TIME, AND INSTEAD MOVE TO A SURROUNDING CITY.
Where are you from? Seattle? Tacoma is so much more. Next time use your notes. Visit the downtown Commerce center and find out more. People from all over the world come here for the vibrant art venues and cultural centers. Yes I love Tacoma. Hire a tour guide and see more than just bars and couple of coffee shops.
I appreciate your feedback I understand there are other great things about Tacoma and will include in another video can possible include everything in one video....but thank you for your feedback
Truthful honest commentary. My favorite area is Ruston way. Like walking there.
you and me both I love love Ruston way so beautiful love the Lobster Shop
I created five different kinds of hot sauces
Thank u for that wonderful video. How bout the elementary Schools? I'm in Renton moving to Tacoma and I'm interested in the elementary schools. I have a 5 years old son and I just want to know the best school for him
Tacoma schools serves a diverse student population. Tacoma offers traditional and magnet as well as alternative education. Schools varies depending on neighborhood....Tacoma schools are quality schools...hope this helps. If you decide to move to Tacoma I am a local real estate agent....glad you enjoyed the video
@Seattlerealestatetips thank u for your response 😊 yes ma'am we moving next year. We already have a place Thank you and I will recommend people to u as well. 🙂👍🏾

Don't move because real Tacoma natives are sick of out of towners WE ARE FULL 😂GO HOME ROGER !
Ohhhh, Lawd you sound mean i know i bashed the food, but the PNW is my home. This is Merica and your attitude is definitely not typical of many in Tacoma.

If you’re not in a STEM career or/and making at least 100k a year with a spouse….stay out of Tacoma especially Seattle.
LOL that is true i see why so many people are buying old busses to live in.
Tacomas aright
it doesnt rain every day!.. it may be overcast & clouds almost everyday but not necessarily rain
yes you are correct it doesn't rain as much as people think it does
I was born in Tacoma, but moved around the age of 3 to NJ and later to Chicago. I always wanted to visit my birth place. Your video has encouraged me to do so. Thanks
thank you very much I am glad I've encouraged you...
I was born and raised in Tacoma worked in detention for 25 years. Had to retire sell the home moved over to eastern Washington because Tacoma is way too expensive now and way too liberal, but it will always be home. I always find myself back on the west side like I said it’s home.
thank you for your feedback hope you enjoyed this video
I've been here for about 30 years. I was born and raised in Chicago. Join the Army station of Fort Drum, New York, and then came to Washington State. The reason I live in Tacoma is because every place else was too expensive. When I arrived homes was $150,000, and now medium homes are about $ 300,000 to $400,000 or more. Property value going south is cheaper than property value going north. That's the reason places like Tacoma or Olympia are attracted to people living here. Also, she's forgot to mention Pacific Lutheran University. A fine institution that was equally as good as Washington State University. Get them all in there. When I arrived here, there wasn't a lot, but over a period of time, you can see the value that Tacoma as well as other cities around the area have come into. Not to mention, for the people that are in the military, McChord and Fort Lewis are not too far. Which makes it an attractive place for the military personnel. And don't forget the Waterfront Commencement Bay, or 4th of July fireworks, Blue Angels fly over or as well as fishing and crabbing off the piers are some of the best attractions. But if you want to know about Tacoma, why don't you come and visit Tacoma.😊
I have lived here most of my life. I'll work here and retire somewhere cheaper because its nuts! Folks moved down from seattle and drove UP the price of everything!
thank you for your feedback
I grew up in Seattle, moved to Tacoma 11ys ago- never had any problems i love TAC Town!
I glad you've not had problems with Tacoma it is a very nice place to live
@shabriabrazi.. I know the Tacc is beautiful but once you eat new orleans food you will never look at food the same.
im from Chicago and the Puget sound gloomy winter wise is about the same so it didnt take long to adjust. Very beautiful place to live if you ever consider it
Weather not the same. I'm from Chicago weather is not the same😮
@@earlsandersjr.2023 chicago is more extreme as far as the cold in winter and heat in summer....but it's almost always gloomy in the winter just like puget sound...imo
Zulu u r smoking crac cocaine
You did yourself and viewers a disservice not showing the updated Commencement Bay waterfront. As Beautiful as any part of the state imo.
thank you for your feedback when I make another video about the beauty of Tacoma I will make sure to include an update of Commencement Bay....
I live in Olympia, but I don't go to Tacoma much. Any place to go have a drink once in a while in a mature atmosphere aka 35 and older crowd? Not much here in Olympia.
yes 6th Ave in Tacoma is a great place lots of bars
This is the dumbest state in the country. I swear worse than W VA! Yeah, let's make so many on and off exits and ending highways in one spot! Voted no for the train but was forced to pass anyway. The head of WASDOT stole 50 million and nothing happened. Slow drivers spread out sporadically over the highways thinking they own they own the road messing up the flow of traffic. So people have to keep going around them. So many blind areas in turn ins and driveways throughout the state. Slow people camping in lanes. The list goes on. The worst place to get stationed. JBLM is full of wannabes. The gun laws suck! The people suck. The weather sucks. Can't wait to get stationed elsewhere.
LOL you need a friend. When you say a state sucks then talk about driving conditions I can’t take you serious lol grow up.

@@brandonderrick006 I was thinking the same thing. Sounds full of hate and total absence of happiness. Sure, traffic DOES suck in certain areas quite badly. But being sandwiched between water and mountains simply does not allow for dramatic infrastructure changes. It is a geographical fact. Some folks are simply not cut out for WA. That simple.
I actually had to laugh about your description of the drivers here (I am certain they are not ALL WA natives, hahaha). Having grown up in a country that invented the Autobahn (can you guess?), and where there are no speed limits in most places on the Autobahn (compare driving almost 300 kmh vs. 65 mph, hahahahaha), I can get quite frustrated with the general driving in the US, if I may say so. But it is what it is. The roads across the US are not engineered for high speed driving ( to my great dismay), but this is what happens if tax dollars are funneled towards wars all over the planet instead of investing them in our own country here. As for SOME slow and uncoordinated drivers: Cell phones, drugs (legal and illegal), alcohol, are often the cause for that erratic and unacceptable behavior. But remember, traffic alone is no reason to hate an entire state.
Love T-town. Nice shout out to Bluebeard. They roast! That intro clip of thunderstorms...is that from Florida? She says correctly, we don't get those storms. She forgot to mention Point Defiance, the historic theater district, and general availability of parking. Last: we have distinct neighborhoods, each with their own character.
yes you are correct and will do other videos with more detail of the area...sometimes it's difficult to get all information in about one city...in another video will include other landmarks. Thank you for your feedback
I was born and raised in Upstate NY and I absolutely love Tacoma, Seattle, Olympia and most of the west side of Washington State and Oregon 😊😎💙....
thank you for your feedback and glad you enjoyed the video
As I sit here on the Hilltop 😂😂
the hilltop is being totally renovated not like it use to be
I been In Tacoma longer than 10 yrs now and it’s great for me. Rent went from super affordable to super high tho. Only major con is that
being in Tacoma for 10 years you must really enjoy living here...hope you enjoyed the video and thank you for your feedback
Great video. As a black man born and raised in Texas and then living in Florida for 7 years before moving to Seattle WA, I can say that I love Seattle/Tacoma but it has taken us a couple years to adjust to the Gloom. Having no sun really does affect you. But as you said it’s from October to March but then beautiful beautiful days!
yes thank you for your feedback and yes it does take getting use to....glad you enjoyed the video
Shelia Duncan, thank you for sharing information about living in Tacoma,Washington. I moved here 4 years ago. I think you should address veterans population. Also talk about Ferry’s . Also I believe the Yacht Club is somewhat diverse but growing. Feel free to contact me to assist you.
Thank you for your feedback and yes I will address the veteran population because I am a veteran myself that would be important information. the ferry as well. thank you
Love Tacoma❤❤❤ One of the best cities in the USA!!!!!
thank you for your feedback and Tacoma is a very beautiful city....
Ok this girl is crazy. Must be a snob. First off. Yeah don't come here in the fall. Unless you want to see absolutely beautiful landscapes with leaves changing from green to an infant amount of tall colors. Second winter. It's truly winter. Have a four wheel Dr. Or have a car with selective working transmission. You'll do just fine. Do not drive on downtown Seattle. Go to other areas around Seattle. Just don't go to West Seattle. Gangs of you get me. Go to do ferry rides. Go to Bremerton. They have a very massive Naval shiip building outfit. Plus they display many many ships you can see get refilled and see what types are being upgraded and retired.
What a dump dope fiends tents and nasty green water in the Puget sound grey cold and ghetto 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 BORN AND RAISED IN THE PNW EMERALD CITY 😂😂😂😂😂😂
wow!
i have recently move to the area from New Orleans, glad to see a sister but the food out here aint hitting on s***
very funny yes it is a very different taste here....been to New Orleans many times the food is amazing.....
@@Seattlerealestatetips LOL i love it here baby dispite the food and the jobs are here i never thought i would be at 100k. But im still broke,.
@@SavageScientist welcome to a over taxed wanna be california leftist sht hole
Having grown up in Europe I can state with great certainty that the entire west coast is a food desert, PERIOD. If you know where to look for stellar food you better know those little 'islands' where your money won't be totally wasted. Been to over half of the US, and the best food I actually had in the midwestern states. But that might have changed now as well, who knows. Some great food can be had in Port Townsend though.
I'm from New Orleans too and live in Seattle lol yeah food ain't hitting on nothing. Gotta cook ya own
I enjoy the Almond Rocha factory, the car museum, I haven't been to the mirror museum yet, but I intend too....Oh ya! Tacoma is diverse, and I love the individuality of the peoples as well
thank you very much for your feedback...I have not been to the Rocha factory will visit but agree the glass museum is amazing and very diverse....
Avoid moving to WA state...too expensive (in King and Snohomish counties) in the urban clusters and prices are rising everywhere for no good reason. Unless you're rich or go in with multiple people, you're not affording a home, and most of the rents are priced fixed. Gas tax is obnoxious, the traffic, freeways, and drivers are TERRIBLE, there's always some new "leavy"/income tax they're hemorrhaging from your paychecks. Sure, there are NICE places to go, activities to do, but you have to have money to really do anything or go anywhere, and it takes effort because of travel times. Riding the bus will triple your travel times. I can drive from Everett to Kirkland in about 20-25 minutes if there are no traffic slowdowns. If I take the bus it takes almost 2 hrs - and I still have to get an uber from the park and ride back to the house.
It's ok out here, just gotta drive a little farther for the good paying jobs.
thank you for your feedback it maybe a 30 min. drive depending..thank you for visiting my channel
@@Seattlerealestatetips of course, thanks for responding.
Certain areas you do not want to be in. Rough areas but now days that’s common. I have a view of Port of Tacoma, that is intriguing. I really like the Point of Defiance area. I tried S Seattle, I ended up moving back. Traffic to work can be hard . I’ve seen a few hit and runs at the lights. Besides missing the views here, it’s expensive living any further up north and that’s the main reason why I returned.
remember there good and bad areas in any city...
Plus suicide rate is about the same rate as Oregon.
lol first the coffee shops are all over Washington not just Tacoma.
I agree with you I mentioned Tacoma because this video was about living in Tacoma
Washington is marshmallow soft compared to the bigger cities
Very untrue
Washington is a whole state lol
If you was not born in tacoma but you moved from another state or county and complain about my city i was born at then move! Go back where you came from and quit the sour patch blurp 😮
I'm born and raised here and I agree don't move here we got too many people here already and if you don't want to be here please get out because we don't want to hear either
That's why people are leaving tacoma. It's a horrible city along with the people. Therefore you'll always hear about it.
