I got this homeboy I grew up with he’s really my cousin but we didn’t grow up as cousins we met as friends in school he always was in the streets since elementary we were both bad and did shit I just knew when to stop the thing is bro was way more book smart then me he was always on superior honor roll and took advanced classes but he was in the alternative class because of his anger he would snap out in a second and try to kill you.As we got older and into high school we kept getting into trouble and my freshman year I was at my worse it got so bad I got a expelled and he was starting his bid I ended up having to move with my uncle who made it out the hood and ended up graduating from the high school by his house in another town . Fast forward present day he hasn’t been out more than 3 months at a time in 7 years we both only 21 and he recent arrest he not coming home no time soon

I went to middle school and high school with this one kid who everyone liked and was super funny. Super short kid who got along with everyone well. Him and I weren’t all that close but he was someone I would talk to and makes jokes with in class but never spoke to outside of school. We had 11th grade English together until Covid hit and we left school in March and I never saw him again, but I have him on social media. When Covid first hit, he was still the short, kind hearted, funny kid he always was, until I started seeing his social media posts like a year into Covid and he looked completely different, started hanging out with gangs, and was flashing his pistol all over Snapchat. He ended up going to jail for first degree murder, and is gonna be in jail for basically the rest of his life. Idk what happened in that one year when Covid first hit, or if he was putting on a facade at school all those years, but I get pretty sad whenever I think about it, cause I know he’s a good dude.

The scariest part is when you realize, they were always like that, and you just didn't see it. Maybe it's the indifference to animals, mistreatment of teachers, bullying, lack of empathy to women, exgfs talking about their violence, an accusation here and there... I've seen a lot of young gentlemen have red flags and grow up to be brutal. Somebody's gotta call it out, somebody's gotta care enough to save somebody's life.

My day one ive known for 12-13 years (im 22 now) this man kept me together helped me out of depression helped me thru homicidal thoughts let me bunk with him bc i was homeless at 17 his family took me in long story short he had a kid with this chick and she cheated on him tried taking his son from him and he snapped and killed her... He is serving life now. When i say its the ones you'd least expect i stand by that. Lifes goes on with or without you. Life is short so do what you love otherwise before you know it you will be on your last breathe and will have a list of what ifs/regrets. Chase your DREAMS people ❤
