That would be a juvenile Red Shouldered Hawk. I doubt that hawk hangs out in the open where the crows are very often. These hawks are forest dwellers. There’s no crows in the forest.

Thats a negative cg. The flashes would have been much much brighter since they generate more heat that is roughly five times hotter than a surface of our sun, the channel would have been much smoother almost like a fluid and thunder would have been much louder even if strike was that far with more distinctive thunder that is often times heard as a bomb than in your average negative strike, plus it would be larger and it wouldnt have multiple return strokes and would just strike once before fading.
