1994 Yamaha YZ250 - Updated
First start up after a full new clutch kit installation, including a new clutch basket. Can’t believe the OEM clutch basket lasted 28 years, it is running nice and smooth is no slipping or pulling, so it’s ready to rock!
…and by the I absolutely love the Lectron carb it is a wonderful piece of technology and completely worry free and easy to seus and install.

Even after 28 years, this is still one of the most beautiful mini motocross bike and an absolute monster for a small 80cc engine, that front wheel gets off the ground on every gear…I just want to keep it forever and ever!!!

1993 Yamaha YZ80, this is a mint, very low hours and unrestored motorbike. The best example of an all original motorbike I've seen in years, still running on original piston imported from Japan to the UK in March 2020.

Forsale?
Sounds like a motorcycle should.
what a beautiful piece💜🤙🏼💯
Essa yz 80 possui ypvs? Ou só a yz 85 de 2002 em diante que possui?
No, Yamaha only added YPVS power valve system to the YZ85 in 2019 model and onwards. this one is still an old model with infamous 2 stroke power band, basically all or noting!!! It kicks like a Horse, but it is so much fun to ride, just use gearing to keep it in the power band...and you'll be flying around the track
Thank you for your response. I purchased a 2012 yz 85. Knowing that only those produced from 2019 onwards have the ypvs made me very sad. But it's good to know what I have in hand. In passing, your motorcycle is more beautiful than any yz 85. Congratulations!
Awesome

Wants to be on a field ripping 💨
Love the bike... I remember when I was 13 years old. My dad took me to the local bike shop and bought me a brand new 1994 YZ 80.... Loved that bike.
My favorite rider
Omg! Thank you! I went from Zuki in 93 to the newly designed Yz-I had to have it but it turned out to be a pretty big mistake..I tacoed (bent in half) the back wheel on a 60 ft triple at the mini-O's in Gainesville Florida 😂 we picked it up on the way so I didn't have any time to break it in.. it was a weeklong treacherous wanna go pro type race that was real hard on a brand new bike, not to mention, it was the first year for this body style, Yamaha's biggest improvement since 1983 I believe... super sharp bike, the upside down forks owned me.. also the bike came with a case of oil, new front and back tires, a new top and bottom and rebuild kit if I'm not mistaking, and a big contingency program where if you won races Yamaha would pay you.. man this video brings back so many memories, I really appreciate seeing this! 🤘🏻
Gorgeous bike
Where did you find an expansion chamber for it
The expansion chamber seen on the video is a Vince & Hines and came with the bike when I bought it. Since then I've managed to buy a brand NOS Pro-Circuit works from eBay, however you are able to find them from time to time (i.e. Pro-Circuit website has a "Yamaha YZ 250 Platinum Pipe" available/in stock now. Alternatively you can check out the full hand made JSV-conepipe and a JSV-silencer with vintage endtip produced by JSV Exhausts for DocWob Imports YZ250 used at 2021 Foxhill VMXDN...absolutely beautiful. The main point is that there are a few rare options out there, from FMF to Pro-circuit or as an alternative a hand made.
One nice looking bike reminds me of one I had years ago great looking bike rater have that 93 yz 80 then a new one have 4 2 stroke dirt bikes have a 2006yz 85cc with a big bore atena 112cc kit on mine making it a great super mini fast little bike own a rm 250cc 97 model complete bottom and topend job done too it its awesome it's a beast super fast with vhm racing head got it in gold new sprockets on all my bikes front and back and chains and dunlop mx 53 tires front and back boysen racing reeds in all 4 bikes lots of money in all 4 bikes complete topend jobs done too all my bikes luv my 2 stroke dirt bikes had a new 450 4 stroke sold it after 6 months rater have my 2 stroke dirt bikes that is one nice yz 80 you have don't never sell it is a awesome bike Mike Holden out of north Carolina said that
Cool bike.
NICE!
Wow, what a dime piece!!!!....these yzs we're so smooth and broad useable power was it's forte and there was a long rod kit mod racers did back then which transformed it into a WHOLESHOT ripping monster and Larry ward , Damon, and others were wholeshotting almost every pro race with these yzs and you did a fabulous job ......I really always loved the 93-95 styling the best and I DEF SEE SOME OF THIS INFLUENCE ON THE NEW 2022 YZS WITH THE PLASTICS CONNECTING IN THE MIDDLE LIKE THAT, THE NEW BIKE HAS SAME TYPE OF FLOW AND LINES TO IT W THE CONNECTED PLASTICS WHICH JUST LOOKS TRICK AND RACY.......
The 93-95 YZs are my fav too my 96 WR is the same as a 94 just with bigger tank and wider gears for desert I wish I could send you a couple pics
How tall is that kid? I am going to get a YZ80 soon and I want to know how tall I should be to ride carefully.
at the time of this video he was 11 years old and 1,50m tall, he is now 13 years old and 1,70m tall and still riding the bike.
@@nunomota9611 Ok. Was the suspension lowered, or is that stock?
@@Destructionater the bike is fully stock and still running on the original piston brake calipers, even the tires are/were OEM.
@@nunomota9611 Ok.
For sale?
For sale?
Would you sell the bike
No, unless someone offers me a ridiculous sum. This model and year has a sentimental value to me and just looking at it brings me back to my teen years.
Tell me wot you want for the bike then we can sort something out
@@TheSiko69 Sorry I don't think I would ever forgive myself for selling this bike (not to mention my 12 year son) because it took me years to find a mint bike, which is almost impossible unless it is a fully rebuilt bike.
Well if you change your mind let me no
@@nunomota9611 3.5 and I’ll pick it up now
I just don't like the fact that you put Bradshaw's name on the plastics
expected a fall. disappointing
I used to beat my buddy on his 200 suzuki he would eventually catch me tho......
Kids smart. I would have just pegged it wide open. Probably why the cops showed up so much.....😃🏁🙆
cool, but Bradshaw didn't race in 1994. that would be a 1993 replica.
Thanks, I am aware that Bradshaw wasn't racing that year - What I meant is, that this specific bike on the video is a 1994 model with the replica graphics
@@nunomota9611 gotcha! Makes sense! Bike looks really good though
Damn bro nice bike
Bike is gorgeous
you can see its Londonistan ........
Do you still have this bike?
Stinkin time capsule, wow
Wow that bike is mint
I love the smell of Bel Ray oil in the morning!
such a pretty thing man, keep it that way
Good work bud 👍
For sale im in Birmingham can collect message price.. Thank you
Unfortunately, it is not for sale...thanks for asking.
good to catch up for a chat today, just saw this , bike is looking good
This is the bike I started on. Brand new when I was 13 years old. It walked them CR 80s
Yep

@@sizzleburns9492 Not dreaming. That 93 was faster than my friends 95 cr 80s
Nice bike
Vice City vibres...
I bet that thing gits it
And also God I just love how when you started that bike how well it just sat there idling and just a sound I have bought a 1990 Yamaha YZ80 a year ago and I am so in love with it I write it once a week I love the bike
were did you find plastic
This still has the original plastics and graphics - This is not a restored motorbike, this is an original very low hours, truly "Unobtanium" (time machine stuff)
Ok it’s understandable, I’d do the same. Thanks for taking time out to respond to me tho..
Are you trying to sell it ? That was my first 2 stroke I purchased at 16 in 1994. Wow 🤩 what a beautiful machine
Unfortunately, it is not for sale...unless there is an offer I can't refuse (very unlikely)
I bet that thing gits it!
But yes I see that you're doing very very well just take your time on the bike you will get better at it I love at 52seconds of the video when you come around the corner and I can see that 2stroke smoke coming from your pipe lol I love it
Very very happy to see that you're riding one of my favorite dirt bikes to YZ 80 the only thing I'm upset about this bike is is they discontinued parts for any bike less than 1993 YZ 80s I have a 1990 Yamaha YZ80 and I can't get any any parts unless I happen to possibly come across somebody that will sell me some of theirs from one of their bikes but yeah it discontinued selling parts from the year of your bike is the only year you can buy parts for that YZ80 it's so sad I'm going crazy looking all over for an aftermarket exhaust it's even hard finding original parts for my bike cuz they don't make them
Thanks, I was 16 years old when this model came out and my mind was blown because it was years ahead of the competition - it is the reason why I love motocross and enduro, therefore it is one to keep as a collection item when parts are no longer available. I know how it feels to try and find parts for older bikes, I've been there before. I've got a complete side stand with bracket for the 1992 and previous years in case you are interested (it is very hard to find). It's used but in good condition.
Sick bike
Looks mint! I did a little front end conversion on mine with a never yz. I threw a pro circuit pipe and some clutch covers to all match the graphics but we pretty much have the same looking bike!
I've done a lot more since this video was done, new exact factory replica seat cover with highlighted letters (as per Damon's bike), Lectron carb (mind blowing upgrade when combined with the age related boyesen), Excel rims, and more goodies planned for the future (I'm always on the hunt for age related performance parts - would love to get my hands on a long-rod kit)...In principle these 93-95 are fine looking bike and perform quite exceptionally when compared with modern 450s 4 Stroke.
@@nunomota9611 sweet! Probably was hard to get. I have noleen linkage on mine. Which was very hard to get
@@nunomota9611 I found a brand new long rod kit in the package in socal I paid 75 $ for it and I installer d it on my 95 WR which is the same as a 94 YZ the power is awesome!
@@Thefailcycle I have a devol link on mine
@@dezracr I would love to find one of those long rod kits
Hello mate I was wondering if you imported this bike yourself or did someone do it for you as I’m really interested in doing the same
It was imported from Japan by West Coast Imports located in Minehead TA24 5BZ, and I purchased the bike from them with all of the paperwork, including the NOVA certificate.
I have the exact graphics on my 94
This one is now road legal in the UK on a daytime MOT, without any alterations, apart from a battery operated horn and road legal enduro tires.
@@nunomota9611 cool man! Do you ever take it on the high way? I have a street legal 1993 yz 360 as well. I’ll post a video of it soon if you want to check it out but I have a video of the other bike on my channel.
@@Thefailcycle sure I take all my bikes (1973 Husky/1993 Yamaha YZ80/1994 Yamaha YZ250/2008 Triumph Scrambler) out for a spin around the block more or less every 2 weeks to ensure everything is working as it should to avoid issues with long term storage. Then they are always in top shape to hit the tracks or bike festival racing events.
@@nunomota9611 You got a good little collection going! Cool you found a street legal one. I’m back in the states and they are very very very hard to come by and if they do they are unaffordable. I’m trying to service and get all the bikes ready right now but wish I would’ve done what you do with them, that’s for sure. I’m on the hunt right bit for a kx or cr 500. They’re a few around but come with a Hefty price down here.
VERY AWESOME It still looks as modern at the 2021 minis I remember racing when these came out
