Another chance to see how i planted them. First stage preparation for Acer tree (Japanese Maple) seeds & first time effort with Cabbage Palm seeds (Cordyline Australis).

Decided to start the wisteria bonsai seeds off after all. Here's the method i decided to go with. Fingers crossed it'll do the trick.

Part 4 of my fan palm videos. This one shows how I prick the seedlings out and plant them into their own pots. Notice the long, single root that needs to be accommodated. Also be careful with the shoots whilst transplanting and watering. They are very brittle and will snap if bent.

First time I've tried taking cuttings from my lemon tree and it looks like I've successfully managed it. Cuttings are rooting nicely.

@@skullrose8985 Hi there. Thank you for your lovely message. I’m so glad you like the vids. I’ve been out of action for quite a while for one reason and another. But I’m well and very healthy. Other things/events came in to play. But I’m hoping to be back in the garden having a massive clear up and revamp maybe next year. Maybe also some videos letting people know how things are going. To be honest I’m quite surprised at messages I’ve been receiving when I logged in. I started this channel as a bit of a video diary for myself. I never thought people would actually start watching my videos as I’m also a novice that just picks things up here and there. But it’s nice that people do actually watch them and finds them useful. Although I don’t have as much time on my hands as I used to, I am hoping to make more, like I say next year fingers crossed. Watch this space! 🙂 Again, thank you for your kind words. Hey,how are you??..your plant is beautiful.. I have got two plants growing,someone give me them from cuttings,they were done in soil..I can't wait for it to flower,the flowers are beautiful.. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us..I'm in Birmingham.. Do you know how to root rosemary,I have got some rooted but not as strong as I want them to be,the best cuttings I rooted were two bits of the top of the rosemary stem,just the tips,stuck them in soil & they rooted.. I really want to root a maple tree..Most video's I watch are from America they have different temp & soil to us(not knocking cause I have found some foot tips) but it's good to hear what works well here.. I'm doing my own compost as well.. I tell you what gardening really helps with your mind,I get lost out there & my garden isn't that big 🤣🤣.. I live in Oregon, USA and have 2 large vines: 1 in backyard that has taken over the trellis and one out front on a gate arbor. I have never grown these and was wondering when do you trim them for the fall or winter?? They were here when I moved into the house and they have gone crazy since they are getting watered regularly and fertilized (I use Miracle Gro). In the front yard there is a Wisteria growing next to the Passion Flower plant and it has finally bloomed this year but it is stunted. Would it be possible to move one to one side of the arbor and leave the other where it is or should I just leave them together?? Please give me some help and ideas. Thank you for any insight you can give me.
@@michellerowland7833 hi there! Sorry for the very late reply. If your passion flower is well astablished you can cut it right back in the fall. I always cut it right back the the main stems leaving it bare. In spring it will grow back with a vengeance giving you all nice green lush new growth. Hope this helps. 🙂
I also have a wisteria with a passion flower by its side. I allow the passion flower to grow up the main trunk of the wisteria as I think it looks great. It’s whatever your preference really. 🙂

Hi there ! I just wondered how the monkey puzzle seeds you planted were coming along ?? My dad planted a load a couple of months ago and they've done NOTHING ! I'm just about to plant the ones he gave me so fingers crossed!!!
Hiya Jess! Glad you’re giving them a try too. Apparently they can sometimes take up to 8 months! Yeah I know! 😂 It’s my first time with these little weirdos too so I’m just gonna roll with it. I’ll do a little update video over the next couple of days. I guess it’s a waiting game with lots of patience. 😂 Thanks for your message & take care. 🙂👍🌱

Hiya! Yeah they'll love it indoors I should imagine and they should fair better for it. I've bought some huge, clear plastic sheet that I'm going to adapt to make a greenhouse within the greenhouse. Lol! Just something I've dreamed up and giving a try. I'll do a video when I'm on with it. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)
Very interesting, young lemon trees are expensive in garden centres.
Hi! Believe it or not I got my Lemon tree from Aldi about 4/5 years ago. £15 I think it cost me. It's a thorny little bugger though, so I try not to move it about too much! Lol!
