I had an aiptasia problem in my display, in a 40gal aio, I added one peppermint shrimp, and after a few months i noticed less and less aiptasia in the display, but the sump is a different story.

What will you do when it leaks? They are notorious for silicone seams leaking. Just Google it, hope you're sitting down when you do.

I’ve dived for many places Hawaii, Maui , black sand white sand is on a lot of reefs like Fiji, Red Sea all where the sps is is pretty much thanks to parrot fish and wrasse fish. I love the black sand beach in Maui. It was my 3rd subs dive and was blow away from that moon like rocks and underwater everything animals of the sea reef from black crabs, black tanks it unbelievable

Sand all the way! Reefs are alot of rock on the main structure but I have never seen a reef that wasn't surrounded by sand at its base! My tank is just a miniaturized version of a reef!

Vibrant, Brightwell Razor, Dino X are all algaecides it can be hardful to corals.
