😅ooops
lol yeah I wasn’t expecting that. It has been below freezing here for two days and I had been driving around on it no problem then that happened. Glad I got it on camera.
Now you’re looking like me with the water!! lol!! Cool vid my dude!
Haha that’s exactly what I was thinking after I recovered it from the water lol. Thanks bro.
Did my 1st comp with it this past weekend and took 1st. Great chassis!
Yeah bro the Spartan chassis is incredible. Once you get it tuned in and a good driver at the wheel it’s unstoppable.
Awesome!! 🤣
Thanks 😆
Slick rig for sure. Just picked up the chassis today. Going to swap out my existing GSpeed FS chassis for this on my Capra axel rig. How are the sliders on this? Not sure if I’ll keep em on. What are your experiences with this chassis? Anything you’ve driven that is comparable? 🙏🏻🙏🏻 blessings!
Thanks bud! You are going to love the Spartan chassis. It is the most capable rig I’ve ever seen. in the hands of a skilled driver it’s deadly. I’m a CL Designs team driver and if I can help in anyway let me know. You can DM me on my instagram page with any questions you may have. For the type of comps I run Capra axles are to wide but will definitely increase the overall stability and sidehill performance. I use a smaller version of the slider and I modified it to work better with the batteries I use. If you have enough space to not use the sliders that’s fine too. I could’ve crammed everything up on top of the transmission but I’d rather put the battery down lower on the slider.
@@HighLineRC thanks for the info dude. I don’t have social media outside of YT so a comment on a video here and there is how I do things if questions are needed. I have a couple other custom builds. My POIZD T3v2 is ridiculous. I figure the spartan chassis is close enough in comparison for breakover performance that it should make the feel similar. But all chassis’ have a different feel. I’ll find another video to comment on if I have more questions man. I appreciate you getting back with me. 🙏🏻
@NewLifeRC989 yes sir you are welcome! If you are interested in any RC crawler competitions and are in Georgia let me know. We are about to start up our winter series next weekend at Stone Mountain.
@@HighLineRC thanks for the invite dude. Located in MI so that’s prolly a hard pass. I just got everything assembled the other day. Put some Inverse positive offset wheels on my Capra axel rig and it narrowed it about half an inch. I’ll have to see what kind of challenges occur with gates set up. Might end up getting some F10s specifically for this build. On a positive note, it was putting a couple lines that my POIZD t3v2 wasn’t able to do cleanly. So far, I’m digging it.
@NewLifeRC989 Oh yeah that wouldn’t make sense lol. I’m sure y’all probably have groups in your area that run comps.
Great 👍
Thanks 😊
What a perfect spot for a comp! I cant think of anywhere around here that has a parking lot around such a perfect mineral formation lol
Yes that is an amazing spot! We are blessed here in north east GA with som great places to crawl.
Badass servo for sure best budget servo direct power in the market...it was this rs500b or the shifts xb servo and this is the by far for the 60-65$ is the best from what I see....moving up from the go to Amazon 35 kg servos and this is the one I'll hang my hat on...great video..idk what that other guy in comments was saying clearly he's high or just connected to a servo brand so the hater comment I can see....thanks for the great video
Thanks bro I really appreciate it. I’ve had this servo for almost a year now and have put it through hell and I haven’t had a single problem.
@@HighLineRC jus ordered mines litterly 10 mins ago and ur video was a big part of it...thanks so much ..keep it up
@@josecanseca8979 you welcome and I’m glad I was able to help. Just a tip incase you are not aware, be sure to physically disconnect the battery when not in use on all direct power servos or you could burn it up or damage your battery. Good luck let me know if I can help with anything else.
@@HighLineRC oh once the trail run is over the whole lipo is outta there..and the dual in line xt60 connector...im good with my lipos and storage charging so fr so good...should be here by thursday cant wait
Cool video got me to subscribe 🤘✌️
Thanks Brother! I haven’t posted much In the last month or so but I’m currently working on some new content that I’m hoping to start dropping soon.
Some nice driving for sure. Very impressed with that V notch / vertical almost at 90 degrees at 15:35 - fk physics..lol
Yeah there are some extremely talented drivers at these Crawlmaster comps. Some guys make nearly impossible gates look easy. That V notch gate was a good one!
Looks bad ass.
Yeah It sure does CL designs knocked it out of the park with this thing. I can’t wait to get it together and on the rocks.
I’ve been waiting to long to run my truck. lol!!
Me too! I haven’t ran since the last Crawmaster.
Nice driving 👊
Thank you! That was a rough one.
Hell yeah. I’ll be ready for that place when we go back.
Me too bro I hope they do several comps there this year.
This is the most Guy shit ever. I need me an RC now
It’s definitely changing and rewarding especially when you build the truck from the ground up. Get one you will be hooked.
Would you just look at it. Just look at it!
Haha 🤣 oh I do way too much I think my wife is jealous lol.
That rig definitely passes the water test 😮 😊 my Jeep CJ-7 would hang with you nicely on some trail rides for awesome videos 😊
Yeah it sure does it’s been swimming several times lol. Well if you are ever in the north east Georgia area hit me up and we can do some trail runs. I love those CJ-7s I will definitely have one someday.
Looks like a great way to unwind! Definitely relaxing to watch!
Thank you it is definitely relaxing.
This my favorite esthetics wise. Really tough looking and it delivered!
Are you talking about my black Phoenix truck?
Water is tough! Nice. The blue truck is growing on me,
Haha just wait until I get the rest of the scale stuff and rear rack mounted. It’s going to be sweet.
This is one of my favorites! Great job!
Thank you! People seem to like this one for sure it’s my highest viewed short.
Truck crawls really good man. Good vid!!!!
Thanks bro! This Base Camp is definitely not a comp rig but it surprises me all the time.
Man that first gate was hard. I knew from that moment forward it was going to be a long day. Lol
Haha yeah that was a crazy hard comp.
Cool video.Derricks rig looked like it would pass for a class 3 . Do you know what chassis he is using?
Unfortunately no I do not remember what chassis he was running but every truck gets inspected before the comp to insure they are in compliance with the Cralwmaster Shootout rules. I do know Derricks truck has a forward skid, it’s extremely light and has a chopped up stage killa body. It does look different form some of the other rigs but it was definitely within the rule set. If you really want to know what chassis he was running I can probably find out for ya.
...If during your video, this is the new NSRDC Servo, I would get my money back, cuz that is not "500" inch/oz. of torque/power !!! Plus it sounds like a stock RTR servo... ...maybe it is !!? 🤔✌️
The second run was with the RS500B. It is substantially better that the stock servo was. If it is defective i wouldn’t know because I don’t have anything to compare it to. I’m still running this 500b and I’m happy with it and it was a big improvement over stock.
(1:36) ...Dead spot, probably from the BFG Krawler Tires tire-scrub/"rub" on the surface !!
I appreciate the comment and input. I’m pretty sure the dead spot was from some extra play in the stock servo. It would move slightly before catching. It was probably defective in some way.
- Great driver, great truck, great tires, great music, and GREAT LOGO !!!! 😉 ...The Phoenix !!! It is a symbol that a Chronologist uses on his Y.T. channel, for representation of a repeat cycle, of cataclisymic occurrence(s) !! Everyone should check-out... this fact based/reference-backed INFO, it might give you an insight on survival. 🤔 👌🇺🇲
Thank you very much! This truck started out as a Vanquish Phoenix so when I painted the new cliffhanger body I decided to pay tribute to that. I will check that out thank you!
- I remember "when" SORRCA had (these) JConcepts on the "banned" tire list, and I thought that was a bit "too wrong," especially since these tires work so well !!! 👍💯
Thankfully our local comps don’t use SORRCA rules. Any tire 5in and smaller are legal to use. I have the Megalithics and the 1.9 Ruptures, I believe they are the best preforming tires available. Thanks for the view and comment.
Sorry but I wanted to see it wash away 😮
Haha it would have made for a better video. Thankfully everything is waterproof.
Was an awesome comp! Good job with the video man.
Appreciate it! That was a good one for sure.
hell yeah❤
Thanks bud hope you enjoyed the video !
😂
💪🏻
Thanks for the Video Brother, Looks like a Awesome Place 💯
You’re welcome and thank you for watching. Mountain Adventure Outfitters is an amazing place you should definitely make the drive down. Info for M.A.O. Is in the description. Thanks for what you do for the hobby. I really want to go to one of your comps this year.
@@HighLineRC Awesome Bro 🤜🤛
@@bigheadrc thanks again!
What are these plates I see on many roofs?
Roof racks. They serve a couple different purposes. 1 they look cool, 2 they help protect the top of the body when you roll over, 3 in some comps you can install a roller/barring in one of the holes and use it to run your winch line through to have a different winching point/angle. Thanks for watching let me know if you have any other questions.
@@HighLineRC THanks for the answer. Cheers
You’re welcome!
Were reverses allowed no points? I assume because people were using them left and right
You are correct, In the Crawlmaster Shootout series there are no penalties for reversing. This is a very unique comp. It’s completely different from SORCA in almost every way.
...It is about time, drivers are not penalized for reversing, cuz it doesn't happen in the "real 1 to1". 👍👌💯 I think a lot of RC people are gettin' sick of SORRCA's funny rules !!! 🤔... - Do you agree...!?? - Thx. !!! ✌️@@HighLineRC
Yes I would agree. I personally have never ran a SORRCA comp but everyone I talk to loves the way the Crawlmaster Shootout comp series has been put together. It allows for a ton of freedom to build you rig how you want but still keep things constrained within reason. It also showcases driver skills. The gates are generally more difficult than a normal comp gate.
Me too it’s gonna be a good one.
I am stoked for Saturday!
✔️
No winches, excellent! Great to see everyone showing off those driving skills. Great video.
Thank you! Yes this comp series is all about driver skills and builder freedom.
That little MFer is pretty bad ass
Thank you! I have spent many hours on this thing trying to get it right and it’s finally paying off.
I just love the low tire pressure on the rear tires. You can see it helped on that last mountain.
@@DenFromRio yes it definitely made a huge difference. I was using 3brothers anti foams, soft in the front and duel stage in the rear with custom made 3d printed shims.
Nice!!
Thank you sir!
That gate suprised everyone lol
Yeah it did I didn’t think it was going to be that difficult to climb that first set.
Was a hard to mis gate. I thing most hit at least one.
Yeah it was rough, I don’t remember anyone in our group making that first gate clean could have missed it though.
Clean line
Yeah buddy that was a fun one.
@@HighLineRC oh I'm sure 😖 but at least you made it look easy
It didn’t look or feel easy at the time 😂 I was kinda stressing about it.
Get it CRAWLER driver... Great driving.
Yeah he did awesome on that gate.
Is this a vanquish vs4-10 body?
No sir I believe the body he’s using was from one of the original scx10 trucks. It’s extremely old.
Heck yeah this is the beauty of this awesome hobby, I’ll be watching for the next one until then peace and chicken grease 😁👋👋😎
Yes sir, it sure is a wonderful hobby and thank you!
Obstacle five super cool 👍👍😎
Yeah that was a good one thankfully I was able to run it clean.
Like a cat back on his feet cool
I’m assuming this comment was in reference to obstacle #4. That was a lucky landing and it did look like a cat😂
What a awesome place, looks like RC heaven yeah I love it
Yes sir it is an amazing spot I still haven’t had time to explore the entire area, it is massive. You could probably craw at Stone Mountain Park for months and never run the same line twice.
That was nice driving through that first gate with that green rig that was sweet 👍👍😎
Thanks the green rig is my baby. That servo shimmy will definitely get you out of a bind sometimes thankfully it worked out in this situation.
Super cool I just subscribed watching from a Manchester Michigan. This is my passion love it I’ll be watching for more 👍👍😎
Thank you for subscribing I really appreciate it. I’ve loved RC since I was a kid but just discovered rock crawling last year and it has me hooked for sure. Stay warm up there I will do my best to keep the videos coming to keep you busy until the snow melts up there.
Hey do you anymore of the comp ?
Yes sir I do. I have allot of the guys in my group and all of the shootout. I will be posting the videos as soon as I have time to finish editing them.
@@HighLineRC ok awesome can’t wait to see thank you
