Pacaso 'owners' own a fraction of an LLC - they are anonymous to one another and anonymous to the neighbors. In many cases, the homes purchased are in areas where Short Term Rental and Timeshare regulations are in place and Pacaso has proudly and arrogantly skirted them! They have even sued the City of St. Helena and its Mayor, Attorney, Planning Director in a Federal law suit.

Pacaso is a timeshare masquerade. They overbid on mid-tier houses in residential, working class neighborhoods that should have gone to local families and residents.

Pacaso is a predatory timeshare company that invades our neighborhoods and overbids on mid-tier homes, taking them from local families and residents. Unregulated, glorified transient occupancy timeshares DO NOT belong in our residential neighborhoods.

Makes more sense to buy a modestly-priced property and airbnb the heck out of it when you're not there. I think this is for people who want to brag that they have a condo in Aspen or some such place, but they are constantly battling 7 other owners who want to use it during the prime season. It's a timeshare dressed up in new threads. Also, who wants to go to Palm Springs other than 3 months out of the year ? Also, the buyers in their 'testimonial' videos are all young, so they're looking for people who really don't know how to manage their money.
