GLORIOUS GLOUCESTER CHRISTMAS
Previously the site of Ancient British dwellings. Gloucester as a city was founded in AD 97 by the Romans under Emperor Nerva then named as Colonia Glevum Nervensis Its Roman plan remains exactly the same today. The ancient city was granted its first charter in 1155 by King Henry 2nd. Gloucester is the historic site of the Siege of Gloucester in 1643, when the city held out against the Royalist forces in the English Civil War. Gloucester is almost 2,000 years old!
Since then numerous changes and developments have taken place. Its haunted prison came and has gone! There remain several Inns dating back a number of centuries. It “sits” on the western edge of The Cotswolds, an area of historic outstanding natural beauty.

What a brilliant in depth video, well done
It's beautiful town. I loved it. I have one of the most beautiful memory over there as I was graduated from Britannia Royal Naval College in 1994 as young naval officer. It has been many years like flash of light. I miss to visit it again.

I had no idea of the scope an depth of Town and village celibration's today. It is like looking back to the 1950's, when this sight and experience was far more prevalant. Long may it continue
