I have various PTSD from invasion bosses due to this theme.

I keep that in mind, i'm going to repost this soundtrack with a slight modification in the next mix. Should come alongside Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns ("What the hell, i'm only here for Resident Evil, not Mortal Kombat" maybe, you say), yeah, but it's actually part of a playlist that includes Mortal Kombat songs because shares tonalities, rythm & percussions that suit well the playlist. So yep, that's why 😅

Any plans on ripping the music from Khaos Reigns? Just came out and it's absolutely amazing. Wu Shi Academy gets a neat new remix.

weird to think someone was composing this a little over a decade ago, and it would have fallen into obscurity otherwise. love the seemingly distorted "electronic" bits mixed in early on, and the rest of the time period stuff is great too. thanks for preserving this.

The part i added the mix version starts at 4:25. It's a combination of the low theme part of the shooting range & a part of The Drive song. There are no percussions - except claps - in the standard version of The Drive, i also edited the solo guitar to play 8 bars instead of 4, also removed the falling harpeggio after the solo because it sounded a bit weird on the harmonic side. Overall adding low theme + The Drive gives kind of an ethereal feeling & catchy one. No need to alter the music files (i mean streching the audio) to match the timing between the two, it's pure same BPM & Tonality. The guitar plays a little "rubato" - the notes don't fall quite on time when the guitar player plays the first ones. so it required some editing to make it fall on the percussion rythm. I added some ideas with the guitar harpeggios at the end The theme is longer than the first one i edited.... And of course, this kind of mix is a reference to the Assassin's Creed Black Flag multiplayer playlist i edited in 2023 :) - That's why i stamped this part with the Havana overlay. - And yes, i succeeded finding a promotional art of Lady Black without the AC logo in, but the resolution was lower, so it's actually a mix between higher logo resolution, AI correction to upscale the other art, layer work and... yeah photoshop editing people xD -- Besides, the part when the "bonus" theme hits, i also added the guitar solo cut to play alongside the bass & trumpet. Yep this song is kinda heavy edited. (And i'm not talking about the additional "magic swoosh" transitions between the themes). (This is a second reupload because i needed to fix 2 tansitions timings)

Kinda a bummer I heard theyre getting rid of gateway portal and adding towers of time. Thanks for adding this song because now this is going to be retro and I'll miss logging on to play and see and hear gateway portal. Hopefully they don't change all the trophies and platinum that would be also a bad thing after how grindy it was to do the original set of trophies
