Told I was crazy, but now that same invisible illness is killing me & people suddenly care 🙄
This is the first of many videos I plan on making through this last phase of my life after battling chronic illness(es) for 15 + years. After my body continuing to decline more and more, I have made the decision to stop the care that's keeping me (barely) alive. This video is about how poorly so many people with invisible illnesses get treated, but now those same people are wanting to be praised for being supportive.
Want to help? A GoFundMe was set up on my behalf so my mom can take time off work and not worry about paying the bills: gf.me/u/yd85fn

Rest in peace. So sorry you dealt with this here. I experienced the same “treatment” for hEds, pots, MCAS and multiple autoimmune disease. I really like how you weren’t afraid to put people in their place. Now that you’re actually gone I hope the people that weren’t supportive to you while you were here have a lot of guilt over it. I hope you’re somewhere pain and illness free and surrounded by endless love. I hope the doctors that mishandled her case are brought to justice. Perhaps if they had diagnosed kassandra with the fatal genetic condition she had years earlier with a simple spit collection or cheek swab people might have actually believed her pain and suffering was real. Way to add so much unnecessary mental anguish to someone in so much physical distress already.

You are an inspiration and rock star! I just came out of surgery for constrictive peri carditis and that allready was worst for me. I also had severe pleural effusion where I had a drain (5 drains in 7 weeks) I am blessed to have walked out of hospital with no drains at all.... only things left is the scars of the drainage pipes and the huge open heart surgery but in the middle of my chest.... you are one tough cookie!

I’m with you. I was given a clean bill of health by 4 different emergency rooms and then had an unmistakable heart attack. They discovered that I needed quadruple bypass surgery. Before comming to in the recovery room I was sent back into surgery to repair some unanticipated leaks. Recovery has been painful and slow. I learned that otherwise good people can be cruel at times.they mistakenly think that others just have to suck it up no matter what.

It's normal. Have faith. We are thinking of you in this scary time. Trust the process, the doctors, the technology. You will go to sleep and then wake up and it will be over fast. Let us know how it goes.

@@acjohn6995 Faith is a big part John you are spot on here! We are thinking of you typlayz! I too appreciated seeing the OR and the team prior to surgery. You will realize at this point it’s not in your hands. I was very calm at that point and you learn to love and appreciate a lot of new and talented people. Also, She’s right if I died I wouldn’t of known it I felt that way too. Also my chest tubes seemed to be the most painful part. Once they removed them I thought to myself “geez, broken ribs are a piece of cake now” , lol. There is a unique feeling that you might be the only one you know that’s had to do this. In my case walking in the icu made me realize how much better off I am to do it at 60 vs 70, 80. Totally true the younger the healthier you are to heal. It’s been 8 days today and I feel so much better!

Thank you for making this video. It is soooo needed. Your video will help support so many who have been through this as well as be a learning tool for those you are describing who don't understand. I'm watching you today because with POTS I get the same crap from doctors, friends and family who don't understand or don't believe. I'm currently having to get several new doctors because I'm getting really physically sick and the current doctors don't believe me and think I'm a hypochondriac. It's a fight for medical care that should never happen. I'm so sorry you were not believed and didn't get the help and support you needed when you started telling them. Wishing you all you need now.
