Cloughjordan Festival Fancy Dress Parade
Nice video - all the kids have grown up now and some of the adults have passed on.
Forgot to mention that I was Mae Keyes from Cloughjordan now married to Jozef (Joe) Kulka. Because he did not know a lot of people from there he decided to video as much as possible of the Re-Union for my benefit. Wish I could get some feed back. I know it is a bit difficult to log on but I eventually succeeded. Sometimes you ignore the red lines under entries. Best wishes to you all. xxx
The dancing in Hennessey's Pub was really something to enjoy. The energy, dedication of the ladies was great. What you gave to all the events is amazing. It is great to know such traditional dances are still very much alive. The atmosphere that night was electric, so many families and friends were present. A lot of us home for the occasion. Wouldn't have missed it for the world. Thank you everyone who made it possible. xxx xxx
I am sorry I did not think to get names for a number of the dancers. This young man was a delight to watch. Wonder is he still dancing? Most likely he is married and rearing a family. Wish you well in whatever you are doing. xxx
You really needed to be there to get the atmosphere of this event. It was Brilliant, Fantastic and a real Joy to share. I was over near what used to be Merritts shop and I was able to chat to so many friends there and share in A Re-Union beyond Excellance.
Look at that wonderful street. This was my home. Look at the sky! That is me on the bicycle. Now for all the action. You can see how much fun was involved and how supportive everyone was. That is Mrs Farrell Junior and Senior on the windowsill, my sister, Margaret , Fr Enda and myself on the footpath.
This was the Tug-o'-War and it had a great atmosphere Hope you enjoy watching it. This was in the field behind Guidera's and as you see well attended. Wonder what the young people look like now in 2012...? Would love to get some feed back . xxx
