PP smells better, is pricier and has poorer projection/longevity compared to the EDT ( not disappointing though). I ll go with the EDT even in the same price because the smell difference is not that great to balance the difference in projection and longevity. I should say though that both are amazing and a hybrid of those two could be a real masterpiece!!

I'm only here because I read one comment once that compared edt to Polo Explorer which is hands down my all time favorite but sadly its been dicontinued for ages. Anybody?

The TDH EDT's performance in heat has been rather disappointing..1-3 hours tops and its barely there. Ive prolly been spoilt by how long the bleu de chanel or acqua di gio lasts in heat.

Is this real leather or vegan leather? Will it work with vegan leather?

I describe the smell as that of mandarin orange peels sitting about 1000 ft away from a forest that caught fire about a week ago. Not an active fire with smoke but a kind of faint charcoal smell. Today for the first time I detected a bit of licorice about 2 hours into the dry-down. Unfortunately the EDT version is very very weak. I think people can smell it in the air only about 2 hours after application. Pretty much only a skin scent at 3 hours. Probably my favorite smelling perfume out of all 6 fragrances in my collection but it has the worst performance out of all of them.

reminds me of how Polo Blue EDT is greater than the parfume

Thanks for the recipe. I used less orange and substituted Douglas Fir for the fir. I felt it gave a stronger Christmas Tree scent.

Fell in love with this perfume… i recently got into perfumes and bought around 5 other designer fragrances and this is number one by far… Im 22 and my mom told me she used to buy this for my grandfather… he used to drive me home from school and I just got a dejavu… he was always working in his garden, he was raised as a kid to care for farm animals and crops.. later he used to work as a driver/mechanic and this scent fits him perfectly… this is exactly how I would imagine him to smell like and its very likely he did smell like this and I am forming a memory of him smelling this way.
