the GOAT
The fact that he was going to tell Jon the truth knowing the king hates Targaryans and how that would of changed the whole game within 2 seasons.
But would it change anything? Jon was already a member of the night’s watch. In the books Jon will learn eventually about his true parentage from Bran, Howland Reed, his uncle Ben etc and clearly George Martin won’t finish his books. In the show he learns about it and he “doesn’t want it”
The day gone come when dat boy gone want to will the sword and when it does you send him to me lol 😂 yea! Holy Spirit moved on me when I heard dat
Ned stark said dat the holy Spirit touched me! Gracious! Send him to me!
1:10 Every dad when their kid brings home an unexpected pet lol
Then they end up to be the ones who feed them and look out for them 24/7 😂😂😂.
Ned Stark is such a bad ass. One of the few genuinely great characters martin has written.
*8:04* - “You think my life is some precious thing to me? That I would trade my honor for a few more years of what…” Wow! The fact that Ned chose to die instead of being a part of season 8 is the most honorable thing anyone has ever done on Game of Thrones. 10/11/24 | 1:30p.m. | EST
They forgot "Just take a little off the top."
Honor is what got him killed. He overplayed his hand.
"and now it begins" "nuh, nowetens"
😂😂😂😂
“I grew up with soldiers. I learned how to die a long time ago” is possibly the toughest shit I ever heard
Sean Bean delivered these lines so well man, crazy how much of an impact he had on the story dying as early as he did
@@vingasoline5068my mom started watching it with me on my first rewatch (after S5 while waiting on S6). Even after Joffrey called for his head she was like "They can't kill Ned, he's the main character!" I smiled and thought "Oh, my sweet summer child."
@@biggt0820 I just started watching this show for the first time recently and had a similar thought lol. I wish you could’ve seen the look on my face when it happened 🤣, great writing tho, I gotta read the books sometime
He would've been such a good king
For me the best line of Ned stark was when they asked him to move and he said "I ain't finna move"
The only wrong thing I feel ned truly did was judge Jaimie for killing the mad king. Jamie saved a damned city tbh
He didn't know that.
He was angry at Jamie because he took that from him. Half the reason he fought that war was to kill Areys himself.
RIP Ned Stark. The most honorable man in Westeros.
One line I was sad they cut from the books was when he was talking to Bran after the execution. "Can a man still be brave if he’s afraid?" "That is the only time a man can be brave."
Damn that's the dialogue I was looking for. I thought I had seen it in show but I suppose reading it in book and imagining Sean Bean say it created false memory of having seen it in the show.
@@aliensconfirmed3498 it was in the show. but it was Rob Stark quoting him instead.
@@RageArtEnthusiastyes, when he was talking to the foreign girl, his future wife, Talissa (also a major change from the books). Not sure why they decided to add it in later rather than let Sean Bean say it in dialog, but it at least makes sense that if he said it to Bran, he probably said it to Robb at some point as well.
He was amazing in the show but even better before it, his wisdom n honor was shown years after he died, truly an all time great
gods the writing was good then
I want North prequel shows. They could have easily done Young Ned and Robert during the rebellion whilst Game of Thrones had a 2 year hiatus before a finale.v
Ned was, is and always will be my favorite character of all time. 🫶
There was no one better. ❤
The greatest fantasy character ever… no one comes close
Mad props to Sean Bean.
*looks at Aragorn, Legolas and every other Tolkien character....

My favorite line is : *Examines Robert's physique until he sees his gut and lifts his eyebrows*
"You grew up with actors... You learnt their craft well...But i grew up with soldiers, I learnt do die a long time ago" There was a comradery and understanding for death, i dont think modern soldiers have, at least not to the same extent. Swordsmen trained their whole lifes for the moment where they face a foe, snipers/gunman only train to aviod the foe. best line from ned
Clearly ur not a soldier then
i don’t think you’re a soldier
Fear was always a part of a soldier's life. Back then as now. We all trembling at the shadow of death, no matter how well we try to mask it.
2:24 looking back at this scene it his on a different level the way he said it
2:12 is partially why it's so hard to watch season 1 again
Spirit animal lol
