My Partridge Family Collection
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 18 พ.ค. 2023
Welcome to my Partridge Family Collection! I'm your host Patty and I've been collecting Partridge Family memorabilia for over 50 years. Now I'm sharing my collection with you!
In honor of this iconic family, each episode features a few items from my collection from lunch boxes and comic books to rare vinyl and autographs, and more! With each episode, I include cool facts and interesting trivia - we might even listen to a few records together!
The Partridge Family was more than a TV show, it was a cultural phenomenon, combining great music with an all-star cast and of course produced the world's biggest teen idol - David Cassidy. 50+ years later, I still get a kick out of the show and enjoy the music more today than ever. I'm glad you're joining me and hope my collection brings as much joy to you as it does to me!

YYes, I saw that train wreck, I think it was on Facebook, and I have no desire to see it again. It broke my heart to see what they did to him, and I'm sure David was horrified as well. I believe it was done deliberately to discredit and embarrass him by that evil. He deserved so much better for his contributions to the entertainment world, but sadly, they failed to deliver. I hope they receive karmic retribution for what they did to my man. Love and Light x
Thought you should know, The Laurie partridge never did come with a scarf, I had several MIB dolls and none of them ever had a scarf, but all of them did have a poster.
Marla Gibbs! YES!! Anyway, if Danny felt good enough to hang on with fans all through this, then he must be feeling pretty darn good. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you for sharing. I am also a fan of LIS and have the Blu-ray set as well as the DVDs. x
Thank you for sharing these Partridge Family gems. I never had PF activity books as a child, so it was delightful to see them. Here in Oz, we refer to mobile phones simply as 'mobiles'. x
I was on Danny's talk
Kristy McNichol was one of my favorites. She has really been through a lot, and hope things are good for her now.
You are so right about a price. Your spot on . Good point
I Love Lost in space too, this was a great episode....Loved it.
Patty you've now stolen my heart twice I'm kid of the sixties going up my love of "Lost in Space 🌌🚀" began abousulty all things The Robinsons and our beloved Dr. Zachary Smith oh the pain.😂 And than The Partridge Family!!
Hey Patty I also have a copy of the Danny album. That's not bad and he really could sing of course we know he didn't sing on the show maybe if the show was around another year Danny could have sang a couple songs during the season that would have been cool😊
I can imagine 💲💲💲💲 Thanks so much for sharing, Patty. I always enjoy seeing your videos. I know it's a happy day when I see your notifications!
Nice, Thanks for sharing Patty! Boy how you kept it together is beyond me. I would have been tongue tied like when I met Daidy in 1990 at Tower Records here in San Diego. LOL. Now today if I met Michael McDonald (who as you probably know wrote Hold On Me for DC's Dreams album and played keyboards and sang backups), you'd probably have to scrape me off the floor. LOL
If you have to go through so much trouble to tell a fake is a fake, then I don't understand why you would make such a fuss about buying the real thing. I would happily buy a fake kislux and have no shame in admitting it is a fake
😅Hey Patty three things I have a copy of the EFX CD you're definitely need to get one. Also part of The wrecking Crew was a keyboardist Larry knetchel who played keys for the soft rock band bread with David gates . Also I have a CD that was purchased on QVC called favorites I believe they only sold 2500 copies the CD also had four unreleased tracks so it's a rare piece to have if you don't have this try to find it😊
Thanks for the tips - I actually just bought the EFX cd but haven't listened to it yet.
I'm happy it exists but it isn't even close to the PF version.
Well said! I think the more I listen to it the more I like it... but not as much as David's version of course.
Its a nay from me... Always the PF version for me... x
Yes this was also my first album that I got at Christmas time 1970 before that I had bought Archie's 45 but never any LPS. About 25 years ago I had gone to Hawaii for vacation and found the first album as a white label promo at a record store in Honolulu so that was a really good find I just had to pick it up I don't recall it was that expensive I'm sure it was less than $20. I think what made this TV show different was that every week we were looking forward to hearing them sing a new song and a lot of the songs mirrored what the episode was about so it was a great combination. It's so hard to believe after 54 years I still love to listen to all their albums😊
100% agree with you - it's amazing how well the music holds up. And WOW - white label of this album is extremely rare - nice find! 🤗
It's very good. But nothing could top the PF version. But certainly it's a great song, I wish more people would have attempted it. Wayne Newton, at some moments, sounds very much like Cher on this. I also noticed that Cher and David Cassidy have some vocal similarities, a few years ago. It suddenly struck me, and I realized that those were the first two singers I gravitated towards at the start of the seventies.
That's very interesting. I'll have to give Cher a listen with some "new ears." Thanks for bringing that up!
@@MyPartridgeFamilyCollection I would like to suggest this album. Above all other Cher albums, this is the masterpiece. The backing band is fully The Wrecking Crew at their peak. This is absolutely from the Partridge Family era. As a kid, this album and the PF albums were my favorites. Both Cher and David recorded versions of "Oh,No Not My Baby"...I wish someone would create a duet, merging those two tracks. This was the original "Half Breed" album. There is also a compilation with that title, but it's a totally different album. th-cam.com/play/PLVNnQokQMDKN93jl73HAocp9hFNTR6dsf.html&si=PtbScHlnFzns8kkg
Strangely, if I didn't know this was a classic David track, I think it would get a pass back in the day - interesting...
David did a better job
David's version is definitely more up tempo
I had this game!🩷
It's ok. Have you heard Joey Scarbury' Point Me, Lulu - Could It Be Forever, Jack Jones - Alone Too Long. Lettermen- It's One of Those Nights
No. I say that as someone who ordered EV2 6809 as a vanity plate.
Who could not have ever seen the partridge family??? Oh my gosh they were my favorite. And I still love to watch them!
I know! And he's at the right age.
@@MyPartridgeFamilyCollection me too that’s why I don’t get it. I waited all week for Partridge family and Brady bunch!!!
Jeremy was supposed to be quite the unmanageable child actor. I’ve interviews with him since. He seems like a good guy. Nice haul! 😊
ya - I've heard different stories. But the one that the cast always told was that he was a handful. The other story is that his family had to move out of state for his dad's job. Either way, Brian was a good replacement I think.
@@MyPartridgeFamilyCollection it could have been both?
Loved this! It’s fun and a bit melancholic to go back to those early days of youth! 😊
Looking forward to your other videos. Thanks! 🙏
How cool you got to meet all these veteran actors! Harry Hamlin also starred in one of my favorite movies; Clash of the Titans 💖
Thanks Sam! It was a fun day. And Harry did tell me that the only reason he took that role in Clash was to meet Laurence Olivier. But also worked out well for him. lol 🤗
Love this song ❤❤❤
Did you ask Danny my question about the Columbia Ranch being torn down ? What was his response ?
I didn't get a chance to ask him about that - sorry!
Hi. My name is Eliot Wien from NY. I just mentioned your website on The Beatle channel Mean Mr Mayo channel. Many of the people on that channel like The Partridge Family! My favorite Partridge Family related album is David Cassidy's The Harder They Climb on RCA. Musically it's a great album with guests Flo and Eddie, Harry Nilsson and many more!
Hi Eliot! Thanks so much for giving me a mention - I appreciate that! I agree on the DC album - very underrated album for sure!
Cool.. One card I remember is Mom burnt the Spaghetti, move back 3 spaces
haha! That's a great one!
I remember this also being released here in Australia Patti, I remember it being in the stores. I think a cousin received one for Christmas one year. A real collectable & I'm glad yours is in great shape !!
Thanks Mark! Great memories!
I received one from my roommate last Christmas. Had it as a kid too
Great gift!! ❤
Had that game but it got lost somehow. I check eBay every so often but I haven’t found that “new old stock” specimen yet! 😊
cant believe i didnt have that in my collection.. priceless!..peace and keith always..rocky
I was always a Partridge Family fan from the beginning but outside of the records the only piece of memorabilia I had as a kid was the View Master picture reels. In the nineties going to record and comic book shows I was able to pick up a luncbox, the board game, and some comic books. When David Cassidy put out his autobiography I was working for the company that put on his book signing at the Mall Of Americs so I brought along my lunch box and board game and he graciously autographed them for me. After the signing was over and he was waiting for his limo to pick him up me and a few others were able to hang out and have a conversation with him for about 30 minutes. A real good time. I don't know if you've ever seen it but David Cassidy was in a great movie in 1991 called The Spirit Of '76. Someone has it posted on youtube so it's easy to watch. Was also lucky enough to have David autograph my movie poster from it. Love your collection.
Wow - what a great experience! Thanks for sharing that story. I've never seen the movie - but definitely will look it up on TH-cam. I'm so heartened when I hear people's experiences with David - always with nice words to say about him. He truly was a class act and always took time for his fans. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. Thanks again - your story made my day! ❤
LOL oh wow! I still have my game from when I was 7 in 1971. I always had to be "Keith". LOL. It baffled me why Chris, Tracy, and Ruben weren't included.
They probably saved some money by not including the rest of the cast. Plus the token pictures are the same as the pictures on the box - lol. Didn't put a bunch of money into it - but it was fun.🤗
Boy, if that's YOURS from 1971, you guys kept them in great shape.
oh gosh - my original was thrashed! I think Keith was lost too. 😆I picked these up over the years
I begged my father to buy it for me in the supermarket back in the 70s - I loved it.
that miniature version is amazing. lol. Never had this game. I think the only games we had growing up was Monopoly and a checker board. Gotta love the colors. Kind of a silly concept for a game. Instead of the goal being trying to get to the bus first, maybe the goal could have been trying to get to their next show and you could have encountered some of the things that occurred on the show like getting a ticket, or, getting stuck in the mud in a rainstorm, etc. .
I like the way you think! That would have been more challenging, especially for that 7-12 age group. But it was a simple game for simple times I guess. 😊
How does he feel about the Columbia Ranch - specifically Blondie Street being demolished for sound stages ? The Partridge Family Home is gone along with all the other buildings on that street😢. That was a part of television history.
Great question! I think about that all the time when I watch Big Bang Theory!
Is it true that singer Bruce Roberts was mixed in heavily to mask your vocals on your solo album?
I don't know if I have the guts to ask him that - especially since I'm hoping he signs his album for me. lol
@@MyPartridgeFamilyCollection LOL...well ok....how about, who chose the songs for your album and did you ever think of releasing a second one.
@@SQDLVRThat’s a good one!❤
Did you do one on the other Partridge Family. Like the later ones. Good job 👏
I've done album spotlights on Up to Date, Christmas Card, and Sound Magazine. I'm trying to go in order (tho I did jump out of order on Christmas Card). Up next is Shopping Bag - stay tuned!
So cool.....such treasures
100%
That’s wild. It’s basically a completely different song.
Right? Still good tho!
Love these strolls down memory lane. Oh that Tony Tomeo...what a genius
I'm there with you! So many great memories. And Tony Romeo - born on Christmas Day - was a genius!
Awesome Patty....such a cool find. Great video as usual
Thank you so much! Fun episode to do!🤗
I don't think I love your channel, Patty. I know I do! One thing, though. Very near the end of his life David did record a new version of "My Christmas Card To You".
You scared me there for a minute! 🤗 Thanks for your kind words. Did David record a new version? Was it ever released? If so where can I find it? So many questions!!
@@MyPartridgeFamilyCollection In 2016 he released a digital Christmas EP which you can find on TH-cam. music.th-cam.com/play/OLAK5uy_ntXGLzGcl8e_DR5PjccVPGFxGZ8foicyU.html
