this game is ment to make money for the creators. Jake adding is a money grab

I mean if you could fast travel anywhere from the start there would be no reason to explore and get familiar with the world. It would make you miss more side quests. You do get it pretty early on with the ability to travel between your base and the last checkpoint which alone is very useful. Then unlocking the ability to teleport to any discovered checkpoint is pretty much no different from fast travelling in games like Skyrim. For the same reason a stealth game shoulnt give you a infinite cloak from the start, a survival game shoulnt give you health regen or a horror game shoulnt give you a racing car to escape, fast travel is a powerful ability that can risk trivializing normal gameplay. Im glad they managed to nerf it without making it useless or removing it completely. I like the convenience in this and other games, but not enough games try to experiement with the trend. As for jades, im mixed. I feel like there are plenty of combinations and builds to be done, though i'd always be happy to accept more in updates and i do get you in that once you find something that works for you, you're very unlikely to ever having to change them. The story mode completely sucks the fun out of the game in my opinion (how are you supposed to relate to the characters struggles if you as a player never had to struggle?) but if it can make more people enjoy or get into the game then its fine i guess. I managed to beat the game on standard mode in less than a week (im not trying to brag since my run was anything but flawless) and it felt super satisfying gradually getting better and better or learning something from every fail. Then i played story mode just for thinking it would give me a different achiviement (spoilers it didn't) and i only died once in my entire playthrough. (from getting stuck in a laser during the Yanlao boss) I like power fantasies as much as the next open world player, but the opposite side of the spectrum is also fun and interesting. Its so much more satisfying to win when the odds are against you rather than handed direktly to you.

@@lm9029 the story mode options are unique. i increase the damage i deal but not the damage i take. Bosses go one for way to long for my taste. i dont mind fast travel. it is optional after all. if you want to explore by foot you can still do it but this way i am discouraged from exploring because i have to run around and backtrack so damn much.

I think forcing fans to pay for more boxers including Paul is the fecal matter on the hand that slaps us.

Thank you so much for the kind words! That is why we do this! I hadn't played many roguelikes until Cult of the Lambs, then was absolutely blown away by Hades! Magicraft is another that caught me off guard how much I would enjoy it. And the more spells you unlock, the more amazing the attacks can get! @@twohatsandabeard I can see on his personal website he's got a couple of adverts up, they're not too descriptive. It may be worth him signing up at a hiring agency for games devs to get a better pool of people (obviously costs money, but such is life).

I know what you mean with some of those movements, they can look like they are floating or have skates on when they slide into certain positions; likes physics has no restraints on them for a split second.
