***** Its really hard to find people with good tastes these days. Most people take the excuse of gore and graphics to somehow conclude that mk is a better *fighter*, Its really easy to notice that most mk games were alive due to the "bloody gimmick"

chanditha mahanama That's true. MK's gameplay is really clunky compared to other fighting games'. Just put the characters into Mugen. Mortal Kombat characters all have the same crappy normals, and their specials are terrible for controlling space. You can take the original characters as they were originally created and put them up against each other. Hit boxes, hurt boxes... EVERYTHING. Street Fighter characters are superior in every way from a gaming perspective. MK characters have the same basics, crappy zoning, crappy traps, they have nothing. You can like the "style" all you want, but it doesn't change the reality of the gameplay. Weak space control, predictable movement and attacks, weak mix-ups, weak crossovers, weak traps, weak everything... always fighting at the same speed... MK characters have good damage if they hit, but they can never hit SF characters. And they cannot defend themselves against SF characters. They just can't. Nevermind KoF characters. MK characters are "cool" and "badass" but when it comes to fighting, in actual gameplay they suck every time. SF, KoF, KI, GG, BB, Darkstalkers, hell... even World Heroes, Primal Rage, and Clay Fighter can destroy MK characters in the actual GAME, because Ed Boon and company care only for style and not for substance. And the current generation of MK characters (since MK9) have de-volved nearly back to their original states. They all have the same basics, fight at the same speed, the same distance, etc. MK's Portals/Teleports are weak and predictable compared to SF's pressure, traps and counterattacks. In actual games, a great Scorpion player cannot stand against a slightly skilled Ryu player. Take every version of Ryu and every version of Scorpion and put them into mugen. Ryu dominates almost every time. The generic basic moves of Scorpion and his predictble special moves are just too easy to defeat. Hell, even without it, just look at they way they fight. Scorpion's basics are all the same speed, the same distance, the same two hit boxes. His specials are predictable and easily defeated. Even the weakest versions of Ryu on the other hand have multiple mix-up strategies. The only exception is Deadly Alliance, the only good Mortal Kombat game when it comes to fighting. Since MK9, they all fight at the same distance and speed again, with no real depth of strategy and just some cute graphics and juggling.

***** And mk from the start couldve become better, if i remember correctly, mk1 was released like 1 year after sf2 yet it used ugly ass animation, little to no fighting at all, just 4 buttons, a fucking block button! again, mk1 only sold because of its gore, remove gore from mk and no one would've known mk even exists! sf2(a 1991 game) is considered the 5th best game in wiki-freaking-pedia... and most people complain about the shotos playing the same, they dont seem to acknowledge that if you play ryu alot, you cant play ken the same way, that goes for all shotos, plus mk ninjas all used the shitty looking, 2d animations with color swaps, it took them what? 4 games to change that? mk is just looking for $$$ while sf actually gives you a *fighter experience*

***** oh and one more thing, the juggling, most mk fanboys seem to hate sf for easily dominating the other opponent when getting the first hit, those dumbasses need to know that some elite mk players have big trouble linking a small 3 hit combo in sf, plus remember that daigo parry anyone? that video itself shows that sf is more technical, competitive and better than mk,

SF has more combos than MK and ST would beat the price out of MK
