Dr.Bilkey diagnosed me in 2008 (after my initial diagnosis as an adolescent that I regected) After a major car accident I was in and still in recovery, I crutched my way into his office in Barrie with my parents and one of his first observations, he looked at me and asked “Were you the cause of this accident?” I was shocked, not because of the question, but because he knew! Right then and there, he had my attention and I realized that maybe I really was adhd and that I was in the right place. He helped me understand how I think, the constant and continues choices I always make and why I never seemed to “get it”. My whole life I was different, always in trouble with being careless, or daydreaming… the typical ADHD things… but it was so much more then that. I came to find I’m literally the poster child for women with adhd. As much as I still battle myself everyday, and medicated ever since… Dr.Bilkey literally changed my life for the better and possibly even saved it!

I love how she talks about him. That’s a real woman who took inventory of the kind of man she has and at the end feels blessed to have him and from what she says that is never going to change. All the other women in the message board should take notes because men are very simple and very utility like and we want nothing in return for the essential shit we do all around the world but loyalty and love
