Jon Stewart is offended that a comedian is funny because he's Never been funny himself, his whole routine is some lame attempt at a joke, followed by a stupid face, pause for the applause from the trained seals, rinse and repeat.

The misleading part of this, besides that, of course, John Stewart wasn't offended, is that many of the actors and various celebs weren't offended, either --- or at least they certainly didn't act like it (which can be seen in the unedited version). The editing of this montage reminds me of schadenfreude: "let's show Ricky Gervais cutting people down to size but let's not show their mostly very mature and amused reactions because that would take the air out of the schadenfreude." Still, it's an entertaining montage of Gervais being funny and that's always welcome so bravo and thanks for that. 😄
