The coolest thing about this song has to be the lyrics. The musical composition makes it an addictive bop on the surface, EVERYBODY world-wide would be happy to hear it over and over again but the lyrics are actually pretty deep. There are several hidden layers under the surface, like the Ocean.

This Behind-The-Scenes video never fails to make me get tears. I went Military directly after High School and I missed my family every day. I cried a couple of times while I was away, especially on Birthdays and Holidays. Coming home was different; I did not cry when I got back because it was such a RELIEF to be back, the weight of all my worrying about my family members was off my shoulders. In certain situations, I cannot keep from tearing up no matter what I try to distract myself with. HOW does that work? On the other hand, there have been moments in my life when I did not cry during some really horrible situations. I was able to stuff my feelings down and control myself when other people could not keep from crying. In some of those situations, they looked at me funny, thinking me a monster; I had to explain that I was keeping it together in order to take care of the people around me and take care of things that needed to be done in the moment, but that I would cry about it later. I would sometimes remind certain people that I had cried at other points when they had been able to control themselves for everybody else's sakes; we merely switched roles for those separate events. When my Dad passed away in 2006, I did not cry and I held my (now EX-)Wife as she cried for the loss. We had three years worth of warning that it would inevitably happen; Dad was VERY BADLY diabetic to the point that he needed to get on Dialysis three times per week. That's PAINFUL and he HATED it, but he stuck around so we could spend more time together. Of course it would never be 'enough' time but it was much more time than what we would have had if he did not go in Dialysis. I did not cry until a good six months after he passed, because of all things, I had a dream when he visited me. At the six month mark, I could no longer remember the sound of his voice and I was MAD about it and FRUSTRATED at myself over my stupid lack of memory. When I met him in my dream, he did not speak, he just gave that patented little low-toned chuckle of his. I woke up crying of course. But now I will NEVER forget the sound of his voice until my own dying day. It's like he visited specifically to give me a reassuring pat on the back to let me know that he was doing just fine, and then he was gone again. To be fair, somebody really should have given you a massive Tissue Warning for reacting to this video.

Agreed, the U.S. is NOT the Center Of The Universe. And neither is China (one of their best-known sayings tries to point out 'All Roads Lead To China' but of course we know that is bunk). We should all just get over ourselves. We are on one tiny world in an Infinite Universe. No way can we afford to be that egotistical and arrogant.

As far as the CGI stuff going on, there are two things that make this look good; First, XG are a Dance Troupe before anything else and they are SUCH GREAT DANCERS, SO ACCOMPLISHED at their craft that they have learned how to get muscle-memory stuff down-pat (you got it exactly right while talking about how they have been in training since they were kids). In fact they have an AWESOME video where they do a specific dance while COMPLETELY BLIND-FOLDED. As long as they all start in exactly the same position every time they do that dance (and as long as they have the timing down), every member automatically knows exactly where each of the other members are in space and they know exactly what each move the others are doing and when. For that dance, all seven members are completely synchronized while blindfolded. Absolutely un-believable until you see it for yourself. Top-Notch, World-Class, no question. The second part is the Post-Production team knowing what they are doing with their CG abilities and any new programming they have to come up with while they do their thing. And like the seven performers, the engineers in turn just keep improving over time. Also World-Class. :)

One interpretation of the video that I've heard is that at the beginning, they're in Buddhist Hell, and when they run up the tower they are achieving Nirvana, or the ultimate version of themselves.

This song is about the idol entertainment industry 'they'll do anything..' idols mostly looks like dolls hanging by string. It's like XG said you can't control me (we) but I (we) can and we control our self with own roles. 🐺

At first this was one of my least favorite XG videos but after someone explained to me the visuals and concept I now love the video. It's basically XG starting off looking like how Japanese women used to look back in the day to keep them submissive and keep them under control. For instance Harvey with the black teeth and Hinata with the traditional Asian hairdo. Then when the girls come together and start to dance they fight off and destroy the people in white who now view XG as a threat to their society . This is why at the end you see that there are are two worlds and XG because they're extraordinary girls from another planet were able to go from one world where women were ordered to look a certain way to the other world where there is no one else that wanna control them and they are free to look however they want. Plus the part at the very end where the title Puppet Master is in this font that looks like DNA string, it represents their bond or umbilical cord (Hesonoo) and what makes them so strong as a group that they can break Asian stereotypes as an Asian girl group and yet also keep their own individualism and identity within the group.
