Hi my 22 year old daughter had psychosis like you she was diagnosed bipolar now Dr says that was misdiagnosis, and she just has anxiety and depression. But what about the psychosis and mania days ? I saw it, this Dr didn’t se her in her episode, he saw her after all happened and she’s going to stop Olenzapine to Lexapro. Shes doing better but she acts like it was just anxiety ! I wish I had recorded her. Even her brother thought she was on meth ! But only pot in her system after drug tests. Hospitalized twice ! Now she’s starting DBT therapy. What’s your diagnosis.? I’m so confused! It’s tough
I have schizophrenia and I just recovery 🙂
Love this. I have been on this weird journey now for many years. Be great to connect.
Hi Emely, can you share what was your diagnosis and if you are still on medications can you share what medications are keeping you stable, thank you.
I went through a 5 month long psychosis, and unfortunately I still hear voices and have closed eye hallucinations 2 years later. I'm not sure if it's schizophrenia or not. My doctor says no... did the psychosis sound like a jungle to you? I've heard of other people saying this and I wonder if it's a phenomenon of psychosis..
how are u? i have closed eyes hallucinations too

Did you ever think you were telepathic or talking to spirits?
The voice(s) (they all sound like one voice but sometimes refer to themselves as a we) harass and abuse me telling me I deserve it because I'm a bad person. They don't like when I refer to it as an illness because they claim to be real and they say I'm just playing the victim.
How can one deal with anosognosia? Is there way out without antipsychotics? What kinda therapy
Thanks for sharing, I'm starting to share my story on here. I was 40 years old and stressed at the start of the pandemic, and living in a country where I didn't speak the language well.
I suffer from major depression and anxiety disorder. And my 21 year old nephew suffer from ADHD
Did you had cognitive problems. I had 2 psychotic episodes that lasted 6 months both. I am now psychosis free but my brain works rly bad.
This is for everyone going through psychosis: Stay strong, you will be all right! You’re not alone. Contact someone to help you through this. I had drug induced psychosis from weed and DMT and i felt like i’ll never feel ok and my life is lost but it’s not. I am completely fine and happy right now after 2 months of recovery without medication. I am back to my normal life like nothing has happened. So have hope and patience and everything will be okay♥️♥️
thank uuu I’m going through drug induced psychosis right now and it’s been really scary especially when reality feels off and different, but im starting to recover :)
How is your memory
My memory of the psychosis is spotty
How long did you have psychosis for ? Xx
I was in the psychosis for around 3 months
Why are you so beautiful
Hello, my friend recently acted behaving as described in the video after Cannabis consumption. I don't want to discuss the matter in comment section but i genuinely want talk about how to help him out with this. We live in a different country than of his parents and it's hard for me to tell his parents about the situation because A) I don't know what exactly is going on, i need your help. B) They don't know that he smokes. I don't mind telling them as a last resort but it'd be a great help if i could talk to you first.
I have had cannabis induced psychosis as well, but it faded 100% about 2 weeks after I quit smoking
Impressive drawings.
Hi Emily got a wee question I have drug induced psychosis that I was diagnosed with at 17 from smoking cannabis at 12 am now 26 and Ive been clean for nearly a year and a half and I was wondering how long you would reckon it would take me to return back to full normality cuz I suffered from more than a weed addiction that by the age of 20 I had taken most illicit substances
Thank you I had this 2 times in my life, and I feel it coming again. I don’t even know who to talk to about this
A psychiatrist. If you’re taking ANY legal and illegal drugs, stop them. If they are prescribed - talk to your doctor. Try to get benzos on your hands, like Xanax, or strong sleep aids and only use them if you’re at a critical point. I’m not a doctor by any means, just a druggie who’s been trough like them like 5-6 times with anxiety, paranoia, vivid hallucinations, etc. Full on psychosis. Also, don’t stay up for two days and more.
Cure for psychosis is to grow up. One thing thats responsible is taking your therapy
I tried watching this video but gave up because you kept knocking the back of the chair against the wall.
I am a fifty year old man who has had schizo affective disorder bi polar type for thirty four years. I am very isolated and sometimes call the crises center to talk, but have to be too careful of what I say, and they never seem like friends. I have four friends I talk to on the phone but they are elderly or suffering from psychosis themselves. I had a chance to make friends with mentally I'll people through one person and threw away the chance. I was an addict before I was mentally ill and I can make friends at twelve step meetings when the pandemic has lifted. I can always get phone numbers, they are very willing and friendly. I subscribed to your channel just now because you seem genuine. I have experienced unspeakable horror with my illness. I think I have a severe case. I am able to live on my own, a very simple, single life. I learned how to read remarkably well during in my life after only completing the 8th grade in school. But I don't want to anymore and want to concentrate on art and guitar. My question is, do you totally lack a sense of self and do you have any kind of ego? It's a little nonsensical for me to ask this, but I believe I do have an extremely fragile ego of some fashion.
fellow psychosis survivor as well! very scary experience, but I'm recovered. hope you're doing good.
Many different spiritual pratices cause hallucinations. Also hallucinations are real meaning vivid. Ppl actually seem them. Not just in their head
How did u get it? But hallucinations are examples of psychosis also. You can get it from practicing new age witch craft ,meditations, astral travel and so on
Drug induced pyscosis 5 years ago still need the meds hopefully I get off them in the future.hope your all well during the apocalypse.
So you've been on meds since 5 years ago for drug induced psychosis? Why is that? Relapsed?
@@shortierock0209 yeh I relapsed twice once with weed and once on my own with nothing in my system , but that could of been a thing called tartive psychosis have you heard of it ?
No i never heard of that. You got phycosis out of nowhere? Meaning no drugs
@@shortierock0209 yeh once after , another time I was smoking weed but the last time I went into psychosis with nothing in my system and at that time I was off meds ,but the psychiatrist took me off them too quick and i relapsed, tartive psychosis is were your brain is blocking dopamine and then it makes more receptors to help you feel some what normal then you get taken off your meds and cause you now have more receptors and dopamine is not getting blocked you go into psychosis, sorry about the essay.
That's scary. Reason why im asking is because my son back in April 2020 he was diagnosed with drug induced phycosis as well from smoking marijuana. And ever since April 2020 been a battle for all of us.
Just curious were you on any medication or smoking weed What bought it on ? Hope you’re well now 👍
I have psychosis and special needs trying to improve myself
You were demonically oppressed.. pray to god to save you🙏
I had the same experience
Why does this video have so many cuts?
you are brave. i am so thankful for this. Thank you.
Currently going threw psychosis. It fucking sucks period. Especially when I had no-one when it was extremely bad two months ago. Thank you Emily for making this video it really helps.
I am so proud of you for sharing your story. I went through psychosis too & can relate. I finally came out with a video explaining my story if you wanted to relate to mine. th-cam.com/video/dinTdaCXqTY/w-d-xo.html I love being able to talk to other people that have grown through the same thing I have. Keep shining girlfriend! You’re beautiful and powerful.
Me too I'm have experienced psychosis right now and still seing my doctor. Hope can get well soon. You're not alone
Hi, Did you heal from it ?
Do you have to take meds for life ?
Thanks for sharing Emily! You give me hope that I will recover from my psychotic episode and I'm sure you're helping many more people as well
My psychosis lasted for 14 months. It was hell.
Thanks for sharing. I had a huge psyhotic episode last May. Tv ,music, any video would speak to me . I thought people were out to get me . I dissapeared for days, blacking out, thinking God was giving me messages. No sleep, finally the police took me to the psych ward .... Was stillpsyhotic for weeks after It was hell comming out of the otherworld.
I have just had an episode after I received a head injury.from a motorbike accident. I thought I was Jesus Christ's brother and he's coming back soon. I was relating everything to numbers and thought that I had an important part in the future of mankind. Then I began to get insight into my psychosis and now I'm trying to get back to normal but my life has been turned upside down. I think I might not want to keep living any more.
Eventually everything will be okay! Just keep pushing through you can do it!
I've had a psychosis a little more than a year ago. Afterwards I was so ashamed of what I had done during the psychosis and I suffered from depression and an anxiety disorder. There were days I just lay on the couch and watched the clock ticking all day - with a feeling of dread and desperation inside. At some point I was thinking about taking my own live. What kept me from doing it was the thought of how much that would hurt my parents. It took me about 10 months to get better. It was a journey with ups and downs. Now I'm rather stable and ready to pick up my life again and to start over. What helped me was moving back home to the small town I'm from and moving back in with my parents. Long walks in nature and in fresh air always made me feel a little better. I tried to find things to do with all the free time I had - picking up tennis again, do fitness-training again, taking an accounting course, meet old friends, do bike excursions,.... There were days that were good, others that were bad - just take one step after the other, keep living, it gets better!! I'm sure my medication also was an important part in the recovery process. What also helped me a little was apologizing to the people I felt I had wronged during the psychosis, they were all very supportive and understanding. I also saw a therapist once a week, I have mixed feelings about that. A few months ago I went to a rehab facility for people with psychological deseases for 6 weeks. That helped me a lot - good therapists and like-minded people I could connect with. I had already been to one Dember 2018-January 2019 but couldn't fully benefit because I was in a very bad state at that time. After the last one I was finally ready to move back to the city, to live on my own again and to start looking for a new job. Recovery is different for everyone, just keep living one minute after the other. Even if it sounds Like a cliche - it gets better!!
Amazingly done, Emily! Beautiful voice!
Well done for getting your hands dirty and doing the research to truly know what you're going through and others. I've studied since the early 2000's wanting to know how to help different mental health problems and my own. Keep up the good work. Kyle
