This event was the 2nd annual Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Plastic Antweight combat robot competition.
I competed with Groupie, a droopy-inspired gyro walker using 2214 920Kv t-motors I got a deal on ebay for. They were not designed for such forces and the flimsy mounting geometry was their primary source of failures but they were sufficient! I just eyeballed the tilt, spacing, and moi of the weapons and it just worked. Printed in PLA plus.
Groupie fought three matches and I destroyed all four motors I had in the process. This robot was a lot of fun to drive!
