so great
All the small inverter welders call for small diameter rod 1/16or so,test with those possibly?
Good review guys well done cheers
Im going to get one thanks for the review
Pretty cool that they can make a welder literally 'hand-held' nowadays. its really compact and would be handy to carry in a truck for emergencies granted you have to have a 120v converter or a generator bug could get you out of a problem in the middle of nowhere. Maybe it would work better if you ditched the boots & put the standard issue flipflop sandals!😂😂😂🤦🏻♂️🤔🤷🏻♂️🛠️🔧🔩🗜️📐
Heavier ground. Small rod. Clean the metal. Full power. Good enough for taking but not much else.
A14 5g
If you filed the place where the ground was attached, would it work better?
Yes
What setting would you recommend in welding 1/8" angle iron? And would a 6013 rod be ok for this application?
Yes on the 1/8th angle and 6013 is a good all around rod for just about anything just size it for the material thickness being welded, 1/16th for light stuff like auto body tin and exaust, 3/32nds for up to about 3/16ths, and 1/8th for up to about 1/4, 6011 is another good all around rod that is good at welding poor surface prep as in old oil soaked or rusted stuff that is impossible to get clean for whatever reason, it also is a fast freeze deep penetrating that is good for all possition and take less ampereage that some others do for the same results so on these machines that run on 110 and don't have the power of bigger welders and like to kick breakers it will let you weld thicker material.
You too clowns, complain too much without trying the product. And you guys are 2 dams low.😅😅😅😅😅
Does this work on aluminum?
No, you need a tig welder.
That ground cable looks cheap, light gage.
Great video guys, I liked the real world test on the fence. I watched another video on this welder and the guy was using an extension cord. He was also tripping the breaker. He realized the connection to the ground clamp was pretty crappy and shortened the ground wire and made a better connection to the ground clamp and he stopped blowing the breaker.
You talked nothing but shit about it, but now it’s pretty good. Jack asses!
You should have taken the rust off first.
How come only idiots test this welder with no experience
This lil guy is great for small projects! Tacks and jobs you aren't worried about aesthetics basically. Very useful when I don't want to wheel out the horse 😂
so does it require 110v input, or does it have a battery?
🇲🇽
Good
These cowboys are a little shaky.
I think the guy welding just needs a little more practice.
It will hook to pieces of metal together
Stay with the smaller rods
That would be handy to have.
I liked this welder.
This is the side we cleaned!😂 I think we have have a totally different idea of clean! But awesome thanks for the demo!
Haha we weren’t expecting much from the welder so we didn’t prepare much either. Thanks for watching!
Why didn’t you clean the metal? That would have made it easier. Even in the field, metal shouldn’t be that rusted, and even if it is, it should be wired at least. I would have been shocked if you could have run a real bead with 6010. 7018 would likely be easier with this. And please, wear gloves! I’ve been doing this since 1973 and I’ve seen too many times where guys get cancer from welding without proper protection. It’s cumulative. Each exposure adds to the previous ones. You don’t recover in between.
I completely agree with our lack of PPE. We’ll try those rods you recommended and hopefully it improves. Thank you for the input!
Uhhhhhhh because you don't have to.
@@myweigh7089 and why not?
thanks for the good field working review and the points of view with 'new to this' and 'experienced' perspectives and perceptions. came from an auto repair guy testing this out, and he bought it for $10.39 on TEMU before xmas he found the ground cable is not thick enough and too long he shortened it and that made a big difference, he also couldn't figure out the dial but he did have some rod thickness observations where he was able to make 3/8 work better. but my dad and grandfathers were welders and i know alot of this have to do with the rod metal type work type, thicknesses which equal resistances to electric current flow and flux cleaning capabilities for what types of metal, thickness and conditions and hardnesses of the metals. pig iron mild steel vs hard steel make a heck of alot of difference with the welding i learned how to do on 1/2" and 3/4" core barrel up to 2" and 3" bar stock
That’s a great deal! We’re glad you liked the different perspectives. We’re going to look into what materials work best with this setup. Thank you for the input 👍🏼
should've brushed the part first
We should’ve prepped it much better. Next time we will 🙂
Great tool and easy to use ...i have been working by since 2 years and is still fine
Wow, that’s great to hear!
