Work started on the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad May 28, 1898 and took two years to build. The narrow gauge tracks go from sea level to 3,000 feet in 20 miles with grades of almost 4%. The scenery along the way to the Summit is spectacular. July, 2024.

Dear Mr Menefee. When I was a nine year old boy-- and Mr Tom Hatten influenced me as a budding illustrator who was about to hit my stride in middle school at age 13. But Tom's art skills, as host of KTLA's "POPEYE & Friends", encouraged me at home through our black and white Zenith television screen.. Just this a.m., (in my waking prayers) some how I pondered Tom Hatten. I see, quite remarkably, that Mr Hatten was with planet earth until just recently in 2019. The rules are no throwing the ball no kicking the ball
well they arent able to slide because the floor is hard. usually its just dirt in the ground so that they are able to slide
There are 100s of different rules for this game. Different courts usually dictate the rules. For example, a court like this is clearly small and made for casual simpler games. Also, the most common rules are not "No kicking and no throwing" but actually "hip contact only" which is a big difference I should note. (as this doesn't allow head, knee, or elbow contact). Also throwing the ball is sort of like serving and in the most common games that's how it was likely done. Some rules and courts don't allow the ball to ever touch the ground, this is usually seen in less steep walled courts like this one. Where some courts and rules allow the ball to bounce (one of the rules they are clearly incorporating). Some courts even allow the ball to roll, this was usually on the largest courts with grass or dirt. These courts would allow you to jump or slide.
Just because the ball is made of rubber that doesn't mean it won't stop bouncing. I think the reset and serve at the players discretion is warranted

The only thing they should change, is using old steam locomotive trains with cars matching the ones in the movie, instead of their shiny new colourful trains. It would add so much more to the experience.

The seats on the Brightline passenger trains, Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner, Acela, And other Amtrak passenger trains, Europes, Japans, South Koreas, Taiwans & Chinas high speed passenger train are more roomy & comfortable than those on the airplanes in non first class sections.

Very nice. This is the kind of train needed all across America. Americans need to wake up to high speed rail and stop all the lawsuits against high speed rail. Rail and bus transit must improve to serve all of us

It's gonna take state governments to fund and construct their own private railroads then allow Amtrak to cover state-to-state in-order to have a thorough Eurasia rail network. Too bad the idea is to widen highways to 12 lanes so more motorists can get into more accidents

These trains will be excellent and surely the best you've got on US rails today. However to make this a real success FEC needs to attract people who never even considered travelling by train before, because they grew up in a world with the car as the only way to travel. Maybe they should let the trains run for free the first week of operation. But based on experience in regions with good rail service they really need to improve mass transit in Florida. Travellers don't like mode changes; when they travel by train, they want to ride all the way by train and not take a rental for the last 5 miles. Tri- Rail needs to start the Coastal Link soon. More bus lines serving the stations. Brightline and Tri-Rail, only together they make sense.

Beautiful train! More like an airliner! Aisles are wide enough for wheel chairs which can be stored under the seats. There's even a microwave on board. Hopefully the public will keep that clean, please.

If you want airliner look to older commuter rail cars with 3x2 seating, aisle is about the same as an airliner.
Nice modern bathrooms, even has a soap dispenser and air dryer for your hands. Very good. Now if the public will just please keep it clean....
